1,500 credits + 15 commendations + 500 valor per medal
rewards cap at 4 medals
bonuses are awarded for reaching medal milestones:
- 8 medals -> 1,000 credits + 10 commendations + 1,000 valor bonus
- 12 medals -> 1,000 credits + 5 commendations + 500 valor bonus
- 16 medals -> 500 credits + 5 commendations + 200 valor bonus
winning the warzone gives a 5,000 credits + 30 commendations + 1,000 valor bonus
MVP votes grant 500 credits + 5 commendations + 200 valor per vote

getting 4 medals should be very easy with the addition of several new medals in 1.2
assuming the minimum number of medals reached:
- losing would give you 6,000 credits + 60 commendations + 2,000 valor
- winning would give you 11,000 credits + 90 commendations + 3,000 valor

minimum credit reward for losers is approximately 55% of winners, and minimum commendation rewards is approximately 67% of winners.

the medal milestone bonuses would encourage players to keep playing and trying to earn medals, rather than leaving and/or just giving up the match. the maximum rewards:
- losing would give 8,500 credits + 80 commendations + 3,700 valor (16 medals in a loss in improbable, so with 8 medals rewards are: 7,000 credits + 70 commendations + 3,000 valor)
- winning would give 13,500 credits + 110 commendations + 4,700 valor

it would be possible to also earn up to 3,500 credits, 35 commendations and 1,400 valor via MVP voting, regardless of the warzone's outcome.

the credit totals are similar, if not less, than the amount that could be earned from an equal time spent PvE'ing.

this is a reward system that greatly emphasizes participation, while still placing a value on winning. hopefully bioware is able to implement a similar system, that will reward people for their time invested as well as their performance.

This is a sound idea! I approve!

I agree with any idea that brings more people into PvP on a regular basis.

Amounts may be tinkered with but the concept looks very good.

You do understand that BW capped how many medals you can get rewards from in a match for a reason right? They are trying to avoid people focusing more on medals than game objectives, and a system like this would be a step backwards

IMHO

50 lvl warzones > stay as it is for encouraging teamplay and grouping up.

1-49 lvl warzones > stay as it is but experience gained does not depend of win/lose/medals, it should be hardcoded and tied to time spent on warzone (good for leveling alts, unlocking legacy staff etc.).

This will never happen because it it is simple and would work. They'll just release a patch that fixes one thing and Fs up another.

the 50 level warzones do not encourage teamplay. right now, they encourage you to bail on the warzone at the first sign of trouble. earning 12 medals in a losing effort will net you 40 comms and MAYBE 500 credits. the rewards are pathetic.

rewards for winning have also been changed, im averaging about 70 comms in a win and about 4,000 credits. pre 1.2, you could average close to 90 credits in a win and ~ 7000 credits.

what i am proposing would make it entirely based on participation, while still rewarding individual performance as well as overall team performance.

with the new medals bioware has added that are very objective based, it would not be a step backwards. you can easily get 4 medals while protecting a turret now. defender and attacker points are awarded for going after objectives, and it is really the only way to easily exceed 8 medals

under what ive proposed, players would be encouraged to play the objectives as much as possible to try to reach the medal milestones for bonuses, and playing the objectives often leads to winning which gives another reward bonus. it is far easier to obtain medals through organic gameplay

While I agree with this, I doubt Bioware will do this. I'm all for more rewards for warzones, as it makes grinding the gear that much easier, but I really don't have that much of a problem with the current system.

sure it takes a little longer, but the main reason everyone is so upset right now is that before they basically gave out rewards to everyone. People just have to get used to the new system imo
