The new scheme looks fine on the website itself.

However the new scheme on the forums is basically giving me eyestrain and a headache, there's something very off about it (I think it's a lack of contrast between the 2 off-colours [black and greyish] with the main colour (the gold isn't bright enough) combined with some weird post and text sizing issues - it's horrible compared to the old look).

I don't mind the new layout, what i can't stand is the COLOURS.

I do a lot of work on computers, a lot of work for and on websites, and even when i'm not working and just surfing, going from dark backgrounds and light text, to white backgrounds and black text gives me a headache and makes it hard to read for any length of time.

I'm actively avoiding the forums a lot not because i can't go back and forth too much.

Just one thing to say about this new layout.

Whomever you are paying to do this webby needs a holiday. They are definately suffering from eye strain.

p.s. Next time Dev's , how about you put a test area up with the new layout then ask peoples opinions first. Would make more sense i think.

BioWare can't even make good forums lol.. terrible redesign. Why can't they get anything right?

Maybe they're trying to get people to avoid the forums all together considering all the forums are are people bashing and complaining about the game.. it would make sense..

The old forum lay out was certainly easier on the eyes.

I don't particularly like it...

The fonts are not very crisp and get blurry after a few minutes.

They layout is nice... it's just the fonts don't work too well. Maybe it's just the color combination.

I created a similar post firstbthingbthis morning. A Dev responded promptly and there have been several new threads that have popped up, all closed with redirects to here.

Just like so many things so recently changed, the old forums were fine. I had no complaints other than the lack of server forums.

While I doubt I will get my wish, I would love to see them revert to the old design, the one in which there was actual contrast between terrible pale font and drab grey background. Yellow on black are visually more receptive. The current design will be sending readers to the eye doctors.
