Priorities people. Priorities.
If you are truly 86, let me just say.....

Rock on.

So I guess the argument that the game is in decline has been proven BS

So we are just discussing whatever now right?

Me and my wife will be going to our favorite Italian restaurant tonight for dinner. Then when she goes to sleep at 7:00 or 8:00, I will then play Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Why? Because it's entertaining and worth the investment.
Crazy ... I know.

Greetings,

As a reminder, please keep discussion on-topic when posting on the forums and within threads. Please focus discussion on the topic at hand:

This one is a bit more in depth.

This seems to be more focused on the stock from EA and seems to lean both ways.

It seems EA have had a poor financial year due to BF3 and SWTOR.

I have found this on several other sites, it seems to be reliable.

I don't want to start a flame war or an "I told you so" thread. Instead, I was wondering what people would like to see to maybe improve the player base.
I am one of the people that is on the fence, I have around 90 days or so left on my sub but am, as of yet, not convinced to renew it.
Following the new "world event" (which I though was good mostly) maybe this is the way forward?
So lets hear it, what would it take (for those that aren't sure or maybe have already cancelled) to bring you back?
For those that are already commited, what more things would you like improved or added?

Lets try and keep it on track and pleasant ok?

Ok, weigh in.
Please use this thread to give feedback regarding the current state of the game and subscription numbers.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

I can't speak for others, but I started playing on a server that was originally rated at heavy, and over time it slowly dropped to standard. The populations on all the planets seems consistenly dead (20-30 people tops on most worlds, slightly higher during peak times on the low level planets). But that's not the only issue. The lack of customer service and the multitude of bugs and glitches in everything from graphics, abilities and game mechanics combined with the consistently low populace creates a perfect storm of problems that, for me at least, made it not worth it to continue. I canceled my subscription, however I then renewed it before my time was up after seeing all the press regarding update 1.2. But, the update came, and still so many issues remained. Population spiked briefly with the live event, and then dropped again as people lost interest. So I canceled before I got charged and I have no plans to return. My time ran out a few days ago, and I'm actually pretty bummed. I had such high hopes for the game, I even went as far as to buy the CE edition (and had no regrets about it at the time). Some people may love the game, and I did too, I saw all the issues and thought "it's still new, they'll take care of it soon" but as time progressed and things didn't change I lost the faith. I hope it gets better, but until it does I won't be spending my money on it anymore.

And I really could care less about the stock, the shareholders, the quarterly reports or anything else that has something to do outside of the entertainment seen 'inside' the game itself. Why? Because I'm a gamer. I play 'video games' for entertainment. If I'm entertained, I keep playing. If I'm not entertained, I don't play the game.

To see so many people putting so much attention into essays about video games, it's no wonder things are so messed up in this world today. You're not gamers, you're whining know-it-all's with a keyboard and a lot of spare time on your hands.

It's a video game ladies and gentlemen. Not a natural disaster or some kind of plague that's wiping out an entire country. It's a video game. Now please, use that gray matter and keyboard on things that actually mean something in this world.
Sorry but if you are 86 years old, you aren't exactly speaking for the majority of the playerbase or the target market audience of this game.

If you cannot at least see and admit that BioWare's actions/inactions lately have led to a decline in activity on the servers, then you are a fanboy sheep. This kind of attitude really does not help the longevity of the game. Many of us who are "whining" about the state of the game have the best in mind for its future. We want the game to succeed, and it pains us to see a company like EA waste its resources and ruin what could have been an extremely successful game.

You're pretty out of touch with reality if you think we're incapable of having thoughts about a video game while also maintaining a healthy life in the workplace or real world as well. We write essays about topics that we're passionate about, whether it be earthquakes in Japan or the future of an MMO.

Sorry but it's hard to stay on topic and pleasant in a thread that was created solely for nonconstructive purposes. Forum moral is low enough without having another "OMGzorz TOR is dying" thread.

I mean just look at the title.
