I was a major supporter...

Not anymore...

3 days left on sub...

Oh well, plenty to do around the house...

Guess I should give BioWare an A for Effort...

An F for follow-through...

Nothing. This game is as good. The only reason people won't leave WoW for this game is attachment to already leveled characters.

That "thing" that DAoC or EQ had.
Given their subscriber numbers compared to SWTOR, not sure SWTOR would want what they had.
Friend reference, you get 7 daysof free subscription,
free character transfer, and items mailed to all your characters.

i feel as though its the lack of competition, WoW had its ranked Arena's giving people teams things to work against, working towards really good gear that makes u stand out, ACHIEVEMENTS was a big thing for me in WoW, i feel like the Fp's are a bit boring compared to when i played the heroics in WoW, and the gear to me isnt making me 'want' it like WoW did. its like the tier's of gear dont increase A lot

Every single time a new MMO launches. WoW takes a MASSIVE population hit. 3 or 4 months most of them are back.

The class part yes.. I think the story is worth it.. I have a knight and sage at 50 and a smuggler and trooper almost 40.. I have enjoyed the class line story in each. I've also enjoyed the raiding.. Now the every day quests, have a spacebar'd through it the other times I went through.. Yep.. Just like I closed the window in WoW, went to my carbonite map to find out where to kill there...

In WoW I knew the overall story from people talking in guild and that was about it..

That is because of the character investment. I tried many many MMO's while I was with WoW. I went back every time. Blizzard killed me in Cata. The abortion of a skill tree they left me with, what they did to my Rogue (my first and favorite character) was unforgivable. I will never, ever go back to WoW or any Blizzard game. I love Diablo.. I won't be playing D3. I refuse to give them one more cent. I am proud to be blizzard free since February of last year.

If Greg 'Ghostcrawler' Street were to die tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear. In fact I'd throw a party.

Yeah, but you have to ditch the character you made on your new MMO. So that doesn't make much sense to me.

Like right now i almost have a 50 here and a 20. Those are more current then my WoW toons now.

YOU are whats missing.

When you first logged into that first game you were awestruck by the whole thing. You felt overwhelmed and lost and even scared (remember Son of Arugal?). But over the years you got better at this. You have seen some, or maybe a lot, of worlds and just arent taken away like you used to be.

Quite simply, we are "seasoned gamers" now and it would take something pretty huge to shock and awe us at this point..

I think that's it...they feel an "attachment" to their chars in wow because they have been playing them for sooooo long and cannot let go and go into a better game!!

It's just like the old people 'NO CHANGE NO CHANGE WE LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE. But even if the old way sucks and is very bad? yes...some people will fight to the bone for that dated old thing...
