Our survivability (I am a healing spec'd Sorc) has indeed gone way down. I feel like a rag-doll thrown in the middle of a wrestling match some games.

I feel like Bioware doesn't understand how delicate class balance is. It took a long time for the WoW Devs to learn this lesson, too. They used to have a "Flavor of the Month" class in WoW when the Devs would over-buff or nerf something. In MMOs, classes are balanced along a razor thin margin. When one class is overpowered, it can seem like they have a multitude of abilities that are just so much better than everyone else's, but pvp balance can often come down to a small numbers tweak to put a seemingly grossly overpowered class back on a level playing field with everyone else. (for those who play/ed WoW, see Shaman healers this xpac - their utility in pvp stayed around the same, but their heals got stronger, and suddenly they are wildly overpowered for the whole expansion)

So I probably would have been fine with a nerf to healing, but the magnitude of the expertise change combined with class nerfs to Sorc and BH healers marginalizes non-Operative healers, especially those without a full set of BM gear (like me).

I bet if either the expertise damage bonus or healing bonus were still in line with the damage reduction bonus that we would have pretty balanced pvp right now. Sorc healers could use a slightly more readily-available emergency heal, BHs could use a bit more mobility, and Operatives could do with a small nerf somewhere, but I wouldn't mind too much if none of that happened, either. I'd just like either damage to be toned down a bit (the preferable option imo) or healing to be buffed a bit, through the expertise bonuses.

Fully echo the original post. Played a healer in many games. Was excited that in PVP healers had a role other then insta death.

I will be voting with my dollars. However, I see they expect that so they offered free game time to delay that for a month.

Bioware just ruined one of the few unique parts of the experience they were offering and that's a shame.

I'm a sage seer healer and I liked the description a sorcerer gave here... feeling like a rag-doll sometimes. I die faster, since I still get focused in warzones. I still manage to get heals off, but they don't seem to do nearly enough anymore to offset the damage.

But I do believe that maybe this patch just needs a bit of time for people to get adjusted to it. A post like this would probably be taken more seriously by everyone if it had been posted a few weeks into the new patch. When everybody is used to a new playingstyle and such.

Who knows... maybe with better gear and fully adjusted to a new playing style... I will actually find some survivability in my light armor and heals :-). Maybe the imps will leave me alone more :-).

People are just happy that they can now faceroll anything as dps because they did not realize what the interrupt button does


Healers don't heal enough anymore to offset damage and we are always targeted..

I just do not see a point as a healer because we basically die too fast to contribute.

Sage/Sorc healers got completely screwed over with 1.2.
It took one good marauder/sent to shut down a sage healer pre 1.2.
Now i takes one good marauder to kill a sage/sorc healer.

There no reason at all anymore to bring one over an additional dps.

Lol not anymore... at least not on my server... a lot of the healers changed to dps .

Odd, alot of the DPS on my server switced to heals after this patch...
