...

1000 posts in these 2 threads alone. I wonder how many just gave up and quit.

Just reposting that this is still an issue for me (and most people I know in the game) and has been since 1.2, as apparently this is not happening to enough people to warrant putting on the known issues list...

Greetings all,

We are truly sorry for the lack of communication in this thread regarding the ongoing sound issues.

I can assure you that this is something we wish to have resolved as soon as possible.

Please read this post by Amber Green for an update on the issue.

Super!
Is there going to be a sticky on this issue?
As an update or current report, I lose sound during quest cut scenes. No voiceovers, which is a shame since that was one of the big calling cards for SWTOR
"Where's my ship?"

Yeah well, 12 days left on my subscription and then I'm out. 2 months should be enough to fix such a gigantic bug that you yourselves introduced after it was reported in the beta so that makes it like 3 months. I believe I have been overly patient.

In fact, I'll just go and cancel it now just in case. When I hear from my friends that it got fixed, I'll reconsider coming back.

Also still having this issue.

Inquisitor character gets the static/electrical cracking sound around dead NPC and in WZ. For dead NPC i used saber only attacks to kill them and no static sound. If I killed them with any type of lighting attack, static sound on their dead body. WZ, sound is present near nodes on Alderaan and NC while in different areas on Hutball. Other classes I play have the sound cut out during cut scenes after playing for a while if I only play that character without logging into my Inquisitor. If I play the Inquisitor first the static sounds transfer to each character if I don't kill the client and start again.

I played sereval hours on the PTS server . It seems, that the problem is found and solved. I have no problems at the PVP BG or FP at all. All sounds were correctly. And the neverending sound at the FP "The esselles" are gone too.

Finally the light at the horizon is getting nearer.
