I have sound issues with my companions they all have muted to real low volume and when I can hear them they are talking into a tin can or something.
I really dont do WZ or PVP a little Huttball here n there so I cannot comment on those sounds but defintly in game sound is diminished as well as the companions.
I still have the constant speeder sound which is a bit annoying.
1.2 is when this started for me, I gave up on CS as I only ever receive the generic reply.
At least we dont have to listen to that awful jet engine whine while we are fleet anymore, there's a positive.

Hello Subzz,

Did you have a chance to run repair and update your drivers yet? We are aware that not all issues may be fixed by this, but we would be grateful if you would give it a try.

Thank you for taking the time in advance.

In the meantime, there are a few things you may be able to do on your end as well:
  1. Update your sound card drivers.
  2. Run the repair tool located within the launcher. You can find it by selecting the cogwheel symbol on the bottom left, prior to pressing "play".

We are aware that many of you have done so already, and we would like to thank you for doing so.

As soon as we have more information to share, we will update you.

Thank you for your co-operation and continued patience.

One of your guys about two pages back said yall may have found the issue and are working on a fix. And yet when I visit other threads about this subject that have official responses, they make it sound like no such thing is happening.

Soooo what. . . were people just lied to or is there a lack of communication at the office?

The issue has ended for me for whatever reason, but I'm not going to pretend it doesn't exist anymore. People are getting very angry, patience is running paper-thin, and if action isn't taken soon. . . well you should know by that point.

Hell, better communication with the player base would help too.

Yeah, 5 weeks ago I was given the same advice.

This is NOT a driver issue Naugor, the freaking NPC lips don't move. Rather than posting this time sink, follow my steps ABOVE and duplicate the PROBLEM!!!!

There are still a constant buzz sounds at places where someone dies.. Easily found in Wzs..
But in PvE this bug also exist. If i kill certain mobs, i can exactly tell where i kill them by the buzz sound at the kill place..
Missandei Shadow ...yet shadows can kill. And oft-times a very small man can cast a very large shadow.

Still, we get this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showp...&postcount=717
Follow the sequel of ingame warzone tomorrow, in Full-HD and WITH FPS drops, oh another issue

CSR and Forum CS:
The fastest way to replicate this, is not playing a full Ops or so.
No, simply play warzone until you have been past all 4 types of maps.
Sure, one might repeat it self, but when your done with all 4 map types,
i can guarantee you that you have the same issues.

Still not fixed. I reproduced the static/crackling/electrical sound very quickly. I logged in to my Trooper class to check Guild #'s online, then into my Inquisitor class to do some warzones. Got Alderaan for my first map, which seems to be key in creating the error for me. As soon as I died near the grass node and came back, the bad sound was present. Only occurs near the nodes for the turrets, same for Novare Coast and near the Entrance of Hutball. From this point if I do any quest I won't hear the voice over. Also, if I get on a ship, same horrible sound near the entrance/exit of the ship.

5 weeks and we're still getting this ********, canned response. Your customers have paid you over one full month's subscription while you've been doling out inadequate, piecemeal information. You're using a licensed engine, someone else did the hard work for you. Yet you can't even get sound to work in your flagship product which is sold on the fully voiced story that noone can hear due to your incompetence.

Bioware's reputation, quality & pedigree has taken a huge hit since the EA acquisition. This is just more evidence to back that up.

Because server populations are dropping drastically, I decided to run space missions while hoping for a WZ pop. I mention this because being on my personal starship is relevant to my post.

After several minutes, I actually got a WZ pop. Of course, during the WZ, my sound starts deteriorating. Once its over, I'm left standing on my ship with a constant static/crackling sound.

As I continue to battle in a few more WZ's, my sound is so bad, I'm not hearing any audio cues, buffs, heals, damage, etc. After 4 WZ's, you'd have actually thought I had turned my speakers all the way down, or muted the sound. That is how bad it got.

It's like this for most of the long-standing issues. ie: Hard crashing with SLI/Xfire enabled, Client changing Window's refresh rate on monitors to an out-of-range value, extremely long load times on characters with a large number of crafting schematics, and about a half dozen others..

Someone asks for help and gets the canned response, is told to reload drivers, defrag, delete temp files..

Meanwhile, in a thread that's a month old, a random Dev states that they've found the problem and are working on it, expect it to be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Yet the same useless troubleshooting routine with canned responses goes on and on and on and on without regard to what another Dev said..

It's frustrating and doesn't really instill any sort of confidence in the players that see it happening.
