Still broken but a bit better. Sounds worked a bit longer when doing warzones and I even heard music on the first boss in Denova! By the second boss sounds were gone again but yeah.. a bit better..

If anything, a bit worse if you ask me. It use to take around 90 minutes to 2 hours to start noticing sounds going away. Now, it might happen in less then one hour. Random..yes. Consistently occuring....yes. Annoying...YES! This is one issue that will cause me to unsub if not fixed soon.

Give me an MMO that I can visit and have fun! Where what I pay for is not going to those that play for free.

Hasn't changed. Still no sound in a "voice acted, story driven MMO".

Still just a broken as it was, I don't think its any better like someone mentioned above. It just happens when it happens so maybe that time you had it last time it lasted longer than another time.

Last night we have 3, 8 man operations going and all 3 reported that they got the loss of sounds bug for everyone in their operation, thats 24 out of 24 people. Yet they tell us to update our sound drivers and its not their problem.......

Even though I canceled my account (30 days left) I keep coming back to this thread, hoping to find that BW has redeemed themselves.

Instead I just get angrier from reading it and my decision to leave becomes more and more validated.

Just as broken and just as bad, but different now. The sound STILL keeps going out...it gets muffled, but we don't have the god awful waterfall/hissing sound we had before.

Honestly Bioware, how the hell can this not be a top priority?! It's the freaking SOUND! Come on...fix this. When EVERYONE who does Ops/WZ's is having the same flipping issue, it's NOT a driver problem.

Here's how to replicate it:
- Load up the same retail client WE use
- start an 8 person ops group
- start new Ops
- have all 8 PARTICIPATE
- before you kill the twins, your sound is out
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

I sent in my msinfo and dxdiag info in last night as the CS requested in this thread because the sound problems are still there. I got a reply stating " I am pleased to inform you that this issue should be resolved in our latest patch.". So, they think they fixed it in the patch that came out Tuesday when they obviously haven't.

Hello everyone,

For those of you still experiencing sound issues, we understand the frustration this has caused and share your sentiments. Star Wars: The Old Republic's sound is a paramount component of your gaming experience and as such we would like to reassure you that these issues are under investigation and are treated as a priority.

In the meantime, there are a few things you may be able to do on your end as well:
  1. Update your sound card drivers.
  2. Run the repair tool located within the launcher. You can find it by selecting the cogwheel symbol on the bottom left, prior to pressing "play".

We are aware that many of you have done so already, and we would like to thank you for doing so.
