I'm sick of responses like this. It happens to EVERYONE! I think if i'm gonna help you fix your game, then don't charge me a monthly fee to play it. I take this as a FU to the players when the developers want us to take more time out of our play time to help them fix an issue they will take forever in fixing. There are still bugs that have existed for months and never fixed. Stop making us work for you!

Your all just buying time... 24% drop in subs hmm, I believe that will rise alot quicker if game breaking bugs don't get fix.
Greetings Naabrev,

Thank you for your response. I can assure you that I am telling the truth in regards to my personal experience. I would also like to confirm that I am not asking people to run this test, I am requesting that users affected by this issue please submit the DxDiag and msinfo that is listed in my post above.

Finally, We are requesting these files so we can investigate this issue as quickly as possible, the more files provided, the more detailed our investigation can be.

Thank You.

The information you have provided would be useful along with the information we have requested to investigate why it's happening on some systems. I would ask that you please submit this via the method requested above.

Thank You.
Axolipher,

You're the luckiest guy I know, because you are the ONLY PLAYER I have heard of since 1.2 who hasn't had this happen in EC. The ONLY ONE! Maybe it would help if you posted YOUR specs?! What are your sound settings at? Are you using the exact same retail instal of the game that all of us are? We've suspected that it may have something to do with whatever addition was made for detecting hacks, but that's only because you banned players after the sound issues began.

And I can assure you, this is nothing on my end mate. The LIPS DON'T MOVE on NPCs. That would have absolutely nothing to do with MY system when it's a pre-rendered cut-scene.

Again, maybe the best way to proceed would be for you to post YOUR settings for us since you're immune to it. This isn't random, it happens on machines with built in sound and dedicated sound cards. With and without music on. AMD's and Intel's. Nvidia and ATI cards. And it began for every person in my guild with 1.2.

This happens to everyone i know i raid with as well.. It happens in pvp, ops, or any other activity that involves more then one person.... Its a constant degradation of sound to the point of where the only thing left i can hear is ambient sounds... no blaster fire.. lightsaber, explotions.... no npc talking sounds... anything... other then wind...

I hope this bug gets a fix soon... its the only one i can't bring myself to stand...

I really don't see how BW isn't able to reproduce this bug since it's definitely occurring after a couple warzones, every day since 1.2 launch. Shouldn't be that hard to do a couple warzones on a test machine I guess.

I must also agree with Ops BW, its everyone.
And yes, your buying time, and wasting customers time and money for that matter.
And to that forum admin, you most have a patch none of users has, cause that just sounds amazing!

Im no flamer, nor a 20+ year MMO player, im one of those EA said was unsubbing.
I have not unsubbed, and i dont have plans too, yet.
Im sick and tired of restarting my game after every 6/7th warzone.

But seriously...
Make a simple popup in the game, like a guild message.
"Do you have sound issues with our game?"
(YES) - (NO)

I will guarantee, no, i will BET you 1 year of subscription, at least 95% will click YES.

Call EA and tell them their sound engine isnt working!
You guys MOST have a contract that provides service from EA, when their software platform has issues.
Or at least have a written manual? So you can troubleshoot the problem?

I for ones, am not going to send more information.
I have send you enough, twice.

Sound coming from other companions and not mine, are NOT dxdiag or local related.

Because, among other issue, my sound for comps seems to come from any comp that is out with that name, rather than my own,

Case: I send Blizz for a crew mission. If I am alone, it will play his voice as it was near me. If I am on the ship, it will play from its location, surround (nice btw). But on the Fleet.. it will play from the nearest Blizz that is out (might even end up by being so far away that I don`t get any voice whatsoever).

How to replicate: Go on the Fleet and pull out all your comps and right click them, as you would want to talk. And you`ll see how and where the sound comes. Make sure you move as you go and cycle them.

How does THIS relate to MY OWN PC? YOUR game picking the wrong source for sound, huh?

Case number 2 : After a few hours and for the very first time I lost half my sounds, in an OP. It would play my own skills, but not a sound for their effect on target. It was a clear case of several sounds not playing. I can`t replicate, although I suspect it has something to do with time online and/or log/relog chars and stay in highly populated areas.

That is NOT client. Not directly related to own hardware anyway, but with either client or bad resource management.

BTW.. it worked fine prior to 1.2, so there is your clue. Find what changed between versions and you have the 100th patch for this week.

Greetings all,

We'd like to thank the players who took the time to submit the requested data. We are currently investigating these reports and believe we have located the issue that the majority of player's reports are concerned with. We are working on implementing a resolution for this issue in an upcoming patch.

Thank You.

I most say, this is new.
I dont have this issue.

The issue we are talking about here are sound choke.
To many sounds overlapping and causing other sounds to be canceled out.
Like directly when you log in, at the fleet.
You can obviously here the "people noise"/background noise to make the fleet feel more alive.
But that sound, already there, chokes up and stutters.

Over time, a loud jet engine and/or static noise cancels out every other sound in the game.

That said:
BW? The "Disable Background Sounds" doesn't work, at all.
If it worked, we might have a acceptable "Work-around",
restarting game and client? Is NOT a acceptable "Work-around".
