Just started having the same issue today so this would be after Tuesday's patch. It starts after a warzone for me. Has happened twice today. On the latest one I started noticing a great deal of lag in the warzone just before the sound dropped. The response time for spells and casting also was hindered by a second to half a second. The lag went away after the WZ but the sound never did return.

I was losing some sounds after an hour or so (sometimes less) so i tried the repair install, now when it stuffs up i get that terrible static noise that sounds as if my speakers r about to blow up & i basicly lose all sounds except for 1 or 2, happened on voidstar & all i could hear was the rain

Greetings all, This issue is incredibly annoying and you haven't given us a time frame on when you intend to fix it. After nearly a week of a bug affecting the majority of your player-base, I would have thought an immediate fix would have been apt. I'm getting kind of tired of missing plot points because you can't hear people talk. Please fix it, it sucks. Thanks, Us.

No patience, this really dulls the game. Please fix now, this should be a priority, no sound, come on.
"What was that Bioware?, you cant hear me in the forums as well as ingame? how about you check your drivers....."
