I played last night (early morning actually) with no problems. Logged on today, it didn't seem to try and patch but when I get to the server screen I get the dreaded error 9000 message.

I tried the fixlauncher, then waited for it to finish fixing/downloading the launcher, when it finished I launched and, again, no problems with the launcher, but the same problem with the server screen; disconnected and error 9000.

I haven't had this particular problem before.

Please don't tell me to download the game again, I have a monthly bandwidth cap.

Here's my launcher log:

Hello Bombbuster,

Can you please do the following for me and see if it helps.
  1. First hold the windows key on your keyboard and press the R key.
  2. When the run window appears type CMD into the box and press enter.
  3. When the CMD window opens type ipconfig /flushdns.
Please come back to this thread to see if we can troubleshoot the issue.

Did the steps you suggested, and still having the same problem. I log in fine, and the game goes straight to the play button without downloading patch, and hitting play gives me the error code 9000 at the server screen (even though I can see the servers).

What next?

I did try the repair button, it scanned and returned no errors, and left me with the play button. Still not connecting to the servers.

Please tell us what to try next.
