The Fatman Server

this is simply the reverse effect of the low populated servers issue. much like how a wave in a lake will hit one side then bounce back to the other.

the real issue isn't how "fat" fatman is (lol sry....couldn't resist). It's the lack of server transfers, combined with the severity of low population servers.

people are going to drop their server if there's no one on it, and move to one where there are people. the more, the better...it's the reason they're moving in the first place.

if they're server had enough people on it to satisfy them....they wouldn't move.

Still goes back to the server marge/transfer issue. They need to pick the medium population servers, and offer free transfers from servers like fatman, jedi covenant, etc. to the medium pop servers. they should set a threshold for low pop servers, and simply close them out, giving the players there a free migration, again, to a medium population server.

That way the high pop servers get cut back, the low pop servers get merged, and the medium pop servers are brought up in population so people wont be motivated to leave them as they currently are for places like fat jedi, the man covenant....too many names...
"I just hit 50 and finished my class storyline, but I still haven't been able to decide which AC to choose. Leveling solo as a warrior wasn't difficult, so I kept putting off the decision.
Anyone else having the same problem? "~ lagerhat - And who says warriors are broke?

With all the whining in the PVP forum over 1.2, you'd think there would be less people on. Instead this is the longest queue I've seen for weeks.

What exactly are you expecting BioWare to do?

"No, Player XYZ, you are not allowed to create a character on this server! You must play on a different server, whether you want to or not!"

You know, you can arrange the server populations according to highest to lowest.

Even though it says Light, Standard, Heavy, Very Heavy, and Full, the system and that interface KNOWS what the population order is.

You can test this yourself by arranging the list of available servers by server load. Arrange it from heaviest to lightest and you will see they are clearly out of order in terms of name and type of server and the number of characters you have on them.

So those people who want to re-roll but not to the overloaded Fatman server, you can easily pick one of the other nearby servers that has the next size of population.

I'm not sure many people realize this is the case. But it works. Test it for yourself and watch the servers fight for placement as their populations change. Clearly nothing else in the list is changing. The system knows the order of the populations from highest to lowest.

yes the server arranges them from highest pop to lowest in terms of actual players online and if u notice; the major problem lies in the Eastcoast PVP servers.. u have an extremly full Fatman and then u scroll ALLLLLLL the way down to come across the Medium "Iron Citadel" not even close to the top of the medium list or close to hitting heavy.

as of 10:30pm eastern fatman still has a que of 600+

I see what you did there.

Yep, the funny thing is that at least a few of the people complaining in this thread posted the above comment in the threads about low populations.

Some even went as far and said to re-roll on the Fatman.

I guess it was all fine and dandy until the cause and effect factor finally became an issue to them personally, astonishing how it always seems to work that way.
