As for everyone crying about people re-subing for just rated wz in 1.2. I'm looking for the exact link now, but I'm fairly certain that Bioware said they'd refund their money. Anything left to cry about for you guys now???
The key part is bolded.

What would your customers do if say Friday night at 11pm, they announced the change?

That's the key issue people have is the lack of being notified in a timely manner. I've seen releases delayed for a few days to fix critical last-minute bugs found in beta, as well as features released that were 75% complete and the company lose 5% of it's annual revenue within 2 weeks because of bugs.

Companies with good customer service skills were forthcoming in a timely manner for the reason for the delay/change. Hours before? That's unacceptable for any business to do - the same with releasing 75% completed content.

Well i am glad they pulled them. However bioware should refund people money who subbed for the ranked wzs. That is not a good way to bring people back. BW knew the ranked wzs werent going into 1.2 weeks ago. It takes a long time to remove content and then adjust the way to get the gear for it.

I mean after ME3 getting looked at by the BBB. I doub BW wants the same for this game. It is a rip off for them to not return the money of people paying for ranked PVP. I cant see how its good business to keep your money actually pretty much steal it. The other content doesnt matter if you specifically paid for ranked wzs.

I think it is a good move. They need cross server matches before they should have ranked warzones IMO. I am just wondering about war hero gear now. Since you need to have a ranking to get it I suppose you are unable to get that now.

1.2 is improved without a broken matchmaking/ranked system.

I for one am thankful for this decision.

The Devs screwed up big time. They agreed to communicate well with the community and work with us to create the best gaming experience. Releasing a statement like that less than 12 hours before a patch that has been anticipated for months is not good communication. There are a lot of people that renewed their subscriptions for Ranked WZ and now they feel misled and betrayed. Many of us who have been playing and patiently waiting for Ranked WZ feel abused and cheated.

Johnson and Johnson was just ordered by a court to pay $1.2 Billion for deceptive marketing. I don't think a class action lawsuit would be a far stretch in this situation.

Was wandering when someone would point out that treating your customers like the guy your responding to advocates is not sound business practice.

He may be correct in that there is nothing forcing them to release a complete patch, but when you advertise, hype, spin, create videos to try entice new players/bring back old ones and then you fail to deliver at the last minute after people resub - some of those people will feel cheated, dissapointed, deceived even.

Keep in mind that people have a range of opinions, but if people honestly think this sort of business practice is acceptable or it does not matter "because they can do what they want" I think they are missing the bigger picture, and I doubt very much they would run a successful business themselves.

Not impressed by the last min rated change, but I would rather it worked properly. The handling of it though, at the last min was not sound and I think this is the source of all the anger.

Well they've actually killed off their own game, what little people were left hanging on for 1.2 (and my main server is dead) and rated warzones have now un-subbed and no I'm not exaggerating.

Rated was what was keeping people playing, no rated = no reason to play, I don't know about you guys but I'm not hanging on in this game just because I can now have a family tree, I like other players want content.

I've Kept my Sub open since December 21st because every couple of months they dangle the Rated Warzones in my face, They actually labeled 1.2 as the Pre - Season Rated Warzones...So my Guild was keen to stick around BUT then they say wait a couple more months lawl and now most of my guildies on vent unsubbed and the other guilds still left on republic side have ALL unsubbed...Tonight i will screen shot at 8-12 p.m. the 5-10 players on Republic fleet that are left for lolz....I actually Pre-ordered a upcoming Korean MMo in hopes of some World PvP till GW etc come out...

Swtor u have the Classes/Specs for a great Rated PvP game yet you failed us yet again and have lost the community with this latest stunt I hope you dont make back the 200million u spent on voice acting and eat it.

I know this is the forums and everything is either, "OMG IM GONNA WHANT MY MONEYZ BACK!" or, "OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING EVERZ!" but in the grand scheme of things 99.99% of the players are going to keep playing and it isn't the worst or best thing to happen in Earth's history.

That said, while I was looking forward to ranked WZs simply because after a few days, the people around me (when I'm soloing) would be better and my opponents would be better. But if I have to wait a few months for that, so be it.

What I'm more upset about is the lack of OPS Group queability (made up a word). My guild was really looking forward to that. Mostly because we like playing together but also because of the above.

When we que in a group, we often have to split up between objectives because we don't trust the pugs with us. It seems every time we don't it bites us in the butt. It would be nice not to have to worry about it.

We've postponed major software rollouts the day before as well. I was just using my example above, because it happened this week as well. Besides, do you really want Rated WZ if they're broke?!? Honestly, if they had released it and it didn't work, I suspect you and many others would be the first in line to complain about it. You'd QQ about how they should've waited to release it.

I'm just about done reading the pvp forums. 90% of the post (feel free to do your own math here) are just ppl QQ, 5% are trolls and the remaining 5% have real questions. Also, no need to respond to my post, because i'm not reading anymore after this....but i'm quite certain that won't prevent you from QQ more.
