I want to complain too. Every planet I visit has like 3-8 people on it. I'm paying for online gameplay, but I'm playing a single player game..

I want to transfer my character or I want bioware to merge servers.

You know, if they didn't have planet wide instances it would at least be a little better. It shows 3 people on the Imperial Fleet here, but if you do a search it shows 17. Why do we have to split up such a small amount?? I understood it when the game first launched, but planet instances are over-kill now.

On the other hand, if you are on a high-populated server (like myself) and in an active guild - this game is tremendously fun, at least in my opinion.

Summary: Fix the dang character transfers asap!
Yep you're right.

Problem comes now when players starts to re-roll on full servers. Soon your high-populated server has long queue which ruins the gaming experience. Thou rather wait 30min in queue than play on a dead realm.

Uhm something is not right you know - players of both instances are shown in "who" search. And you can talk to them regardles which instance you are via general chat, and number of all players is shown, not only those in your instance.

But still when server on swtor is "full" you still see no more than 10 people on every planet. Planets are HUGE and LARGE - made for thousands of people on one single server so where are they? Why Bioware did such a huge planets when there is 10 players top?

I read here something about World of Warcraft Comparison but when players leave wow There is still thousands of plyayers so you do not see the difference - here you do and big one - here is my topic ...

The big problem here is that Bioware overestimated how many servers they needed. At launch almost all servers were full that there were queues to log on, and the same goes for 1.2, so having plenty of available servers for then was an idea. But now the server populations are inbalanced with some servers having a healthy population and most suffering with low population. Server merges would help for the low population servers but it won't solve the problem. This game has a lot of bugs in it still, there's not much in endgame to keep people who've hit 50 and got all the BiS stuff entertained, so impatient/bored players are not playing as much and playing other games inbetween, especially those who have been playing other MMOs for years which by now have had most if not all bugs fixed and have commitments to those games.

Now, as for the name of the game that I won't mention, that one has survived very well for a lot of reasons. The UI is fully customizable that script writers can get creative and do more than just play the game but redesign the UI into the way they like it, there's been years of content and bug fixing to the game that it's almost flawless, and it's had a hell of a lot of advertising and not just in gaming/online magazines. I would never have known about this game hadn't someone told me about it because the only advertising I've seen of it so far was on Big Bang Theory.
