I've already got two servers full of alts. one Rep, one Imp. Unless they make it account wide, it's practically useless for me.
I plan on living forever ...so far so good!

"put of the box" I think it's a cool idea and I can't wait to see where they go with it. It has a lot of potential. An example of potential gains from it would be the ability to see the various racial tattoos on other races aka a Imp zabrak tattoo on a human> Yeha, that's "another alt" but it keeps it interesting.

Or, perhaps they can come up with a system that recognizes that the toon you are on is part of the "legacy" of your original and offer some extra dialogue or perhaps a questline because you are XXX's kid? Or, perhaps you are a pureblood jedi and somehow you end up fighting your other toon in some epic questline in the ultimate family spat?

Lots of ways to go with it.

I don't mind legacy and think this is actually a nice addition to endgame in MMOs plus a good incentive to play other classes. That being said, I would be royally mad if this system ended up giving unfair advantages to altaholics in pvp or raiding. I just want to play my main and be competitive without having to level other classes.

I see what your sayin but...it should have been there at launch and not rushed for christmas. Also its really hard to be excited about anything right now when the servers are dying......I mean I said it before but....my server is becoming a ghost town...

I don't give 2 ***** about the legacy system. It's not gonna keep anyone around.

edit: server issues also true for me. crucible pits is dead. Logged in for the first time in months. 10 people in fleet primetime. Queue pop took 45 minutes.

I dont care about it, hell I never even picked a last name and since Legacy has nothing that is needed for Ops/WZ's I dont see a need for it. they should have fixed more bugs, put back the graphic options we had in beta, and then maybe 1.2 would matter.

Legacy is a waste of space and if there was a way to turn it off I would gladly do so

If legacy gives any advantage to anyone in anyway in PVP or PVE, I am out. Will try GW 2 or something. BW ****ed up a lot of ****, especially with crafting. This will be the last straw for me.

Legacy...the only stuff that interests me in 1.2 is the ability to unlock new race/class combos, Chiss Sith warrior here I come.

Is it me or does the rest seem like a series of glorified emotes ? The heroic moment abilities appear useless since they are only available in open world pve and will hardly make your character more powerful, it's just a fun gimmick to use every 20 minutes. +10 presence per maxed companion is also not that much and is only a tiny buff.

So the really sexy stuff is in 1.3 - namely the crafting crits, the ability to customize your experience gain and the earlier speeder. And who knows how far 1.3 might be away now...considering that server population is dropping and that people are migrating to the few active servers things do not look too good. Also no word on server transfers and merges (except for late April for Aussies maybe) or a LFD tool.

Nothing I've seen excites me.
