You do have a very good point. It does make it more difficult to police people being idiots.

Case in point: WoW's Ragnaros server. I healed a group from that server doing a "bear run" in ZA (this instance will drop a unique bear mount if you get to a boss before time runs out). We downed the boss and I got booted before I was even allowed to roll on it.

I do hope that Bioware takes these types of scenarios into consideration. I know that it's difficult to consider EVERY possible scenario but hopefully there will be repercussions for people who act like blatant jerks.

Here's some interesting info for you... in today's SWTOR system, the group leader can boot you at any time for any reason. A vote is not required. You can more easily experience the same problem were, without an LFG tool.

No, that's not true at all; there's nothing about cross server groups that means that you're not being social.

If fact, I'd argue that the opposite is the truth: that people who are interested in meeting people regardless of server are more social than the people who want to be cliquish and stay single server.

It is fairly easy to hide behind alts though, especially in a game that is so alt focused. But I guess if you act the same on all characters, your entire legacy would be tainted! Oh, the joys of blacklisting people!

But, here's to rolling alts on other servers and being a complete jerk to everyone all the time! wooohooo!!!
My epiphany about End Game in SWTOR!

Silly healers!!
I was a very good healer and enjoyed the class. My resto druid could heal chain-pulls and not go OOM. Different story on my priest though.

When using lfd, you can't boot people in wow immediately after combat (there's a delay, I think 60 seconds). You also can't vote kick people while loot is being rolled for.

So either you ran into a bug, or there's more to this story than what you've said...

Now: this exact situation could happen pre-lfd... and in fact, it was even easier to boot someone to prevent them from getting the mount (you could even do it mid fight)

Oh wow, I didn't know that! I have been only grouping with my husband or guild. That's a huge problem that needs to be addressed! Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

The more you know . . . . /insert big rainbow here.

Yeah, sucks when people act like buttheads.

Personally, I'd like to see more instant loot bags like mission rewards. For example, instead of having achievement loot drop from a boss, they could tie it to an achievement or mission reward. That would take care of the ninja problem pretty easily. And also keep mistakes from happening. Had people misclick and auto-loot Karraga's Hat twice from NM KP.

Silly priests!

Actually, I paid attention to my healer's mana regardless, and would be suggesting breaks at times without them even saying OOM to the group. It was the silly dps who were watching tv and chewing on cheese puffs that were more annoying! Me loved me healers! But, I got this pre and post lfg, so it wasn't as a result of the tool. <-- my shameless plug for the tool!

I found out later that there was a bug where if you didn't loot the boss first but go and loot the cache that has the bear, you can vote kick. It was totally my fault, I should have personally looted the boss and started that loot roll before the group leader looted the cache.

Still, I think they acted like jerks.
