It's only been three months, muchacho. Unless you only planned to play the game for 6 months, this is really not a valid argument.

If you've invested all of the time you're going to invest in a game within three months anyway, you won't be here long.

Plus, if you had fun playing the game during that time, then the time was not wasted, or lost. You still had fun and amused yourself with entertainment.

Send BioWare your resume; they need more people like you.

Its better for the individual who moves, not for the server he left. It just makes a bad situation worse, and causes more people to have to make a decision to stay, quit or reroll. Its a snowball effect and its not good for the longterm well being of the game.

Honestly, its just another example of how this game was launched way too early. 1.2 is obviously what launch was supposed to be and had that been the case they would have had a server transfer in place by the time the subs/population balanced out, and they probably wouldn't have needed it as badly as they do because there wouldnt be as many dissatisfied and disappointed customers.

I WANT people to complain about this, endlessly. I want EA and Bioware to hear everyones complaints so that maybe in the future any kind of similar fiasco can be avoided.
Meanwhile, in Tera general chat -

Thing i don't get is what makes some think they will keep their name, legacy name or guild name when there have been some people playing since the 12 of december.. odds are the older the character/guild/legacy the better the chance they will keep their name and the younger player will lose theirs.

So true, The worst I have seen so far is "Runnydumps Runnydumps" on Dark Reaper. They will fix this guys, They need to see what the metrics look like after the patch though, I am certain. I feel your pain, as I have been in a similar boat in Warhammer Online.

Because we weren't there when the servers had long queues, and gamers were screaming that they would quit if they did not open new servers. So when they did roll out new servers, the initial spike of gamers slowly decreased to a more stable number, which is too small for some servers.

Don't be misled by the few people upset that there are barely anyone at 2am US time. When I check the server status in 12 hours time, almost all European servers are at standard. A lot of US servers are also at standard.

It's not ideal, but it is a workaround. The funny thing is, the amount of time they spend on the forums raging for server merges, could have been spent leveling a new character. And they would have a new level 50 already, ready to tackle dailies for income.

But I guess spending hours on the forums is more productive to them.

I want BioWare to climb down off their high horse and tell us EXACTLY how they're planning to fix this situation. My guild was talking about re-rolling on another server to kill time until release 1.2 and/or the character transfers, but we have no way of knowing when any of these things will happen. Could be a week, could be a month. All they'll commit to is "soon" which is obviously not very helpful.

What happens to those new characters we create on the new server? Can they be merged into our existing Legacy?

What if the new server we choose becomes Full from all the refugees from other dead servers? Will they stop allowing migrations to those servers and prevent us from importing our 50s? Will we have to wait in queues every time we log out or DC?

When they do allow character transfers, will they be free? Most of us have three alts to support all our crafting needs since our server is like a pioneer village where you have to make everything yourself.

They seem to be trying to pretend this issue doesn't exist, and I'm getting tired of people blaming the players for being so stupid as to create a character on the *wrong* server, like we had any way of knowing four months ago which servers would die or even that there were 5 times too many servers to begin with.

Of the four people I really enjoyed playing with, three have left the game out of boredom and frustration, and the remaining guy doesn't want to re-roll. I already canceled my subscription so I don't forget to do it later, but I'm truly hoping BioWare will wise up and address the population issue. If they did, some of these players might actually come back.

They will be merged, and the bigger of both your legacies will remain.

This is a choice you have to make. It is because people were complaining about queue times in the beginning, that they rolled out new servers which diluted the overall population, causing your server to be near empty.

You're gonna have to take a risk. Do you prefer a server with some queue as opposed to the empty server you are from?

As Daniel stated, it is not in the near future. The only confirmation is that certain asia-pacific players can transfer to the new oceanic servers in late April.

My guess is they want to see how many players will come back for 1.2, and check to see if the population will stabilize. After checking the new population, they will then determine to see which servers are still underpopulated.

If you merge them now, and 1.2 brings back spike population, then you're gonna have the same alleged 2-6 hours queue times that people had in the beginning.

There's no reason not to merge servers at this time. Most servers are dead, people are leaving because you can't find others to play with.

Too long to queue for warzones, impossible to find people for flashpoints.
