Hi all,

Got a bit of a problem.

Once hitting the play button from the launcher, the game just goes to my desktop. No black screen or anything.

I have opened taskmgr and watched the processes, and basically swtor.exe starts then closes instantly.

Ideas?

Do you have any idea what this fix is? Or could you atleast point me in the direction of what was attempted? Cheers.

I'm finding that my processor and video card can't support the game. :\
I've been getting the same thing. Go into your system folder and get your computer information and go here:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx

And if that does not help, try updating your drivers.
http://driveragent.com/b/driveragent...b&referral=987

These will tell you what's wrong at least.

It's sort of funny i want to play this game so bad i want to go out and get a new computer to get to the bottom of this problem...

I doubt it's my video card, I've been playing just fine for two days. Now I'm getting this exact error.

Also these three threads:

Well im trying to find wich one of the many threads are relevant too me but here goes. I played to lvl 10 very excitedly on my awful outdated pc with just minor fps issues yesterday v happy customer. Logged on this morning to find my comp not booting as it wasnt recognising the hard drive /yay 5 mins later and i had it working (unplugged power supply cleaned out dust tapped hardrive checked connections) loaded OS and SWTOR ok played for 5 - 10 mins.

found the crew skill trainers while running i noticed the game slow massively till it just froze.. I left it alone for two minutes hoping it would unfreeze only to return to the HP boot screen :< In my frustration i decided that it was probably worth while to go and buy a decent Pc. So 10 minutes later i was down my local PC store purchasing a nies rig. I have spent the last god knows how many hours trying to figure out why it wont work properly.. i can log in hit play and the bam sitting on my desktop not even a windows error saying it has stopped working..

Like others all my avenues are exhausted. Ovb first thing i did when bought the thing was update everything its my second install of SWTOR now I have checked all my firewalls windows and norton.. norton now removed.. I even found a "fix" where buy you alter a program file with text to make the client load in minimised mode didnt work. So here we are pleading for some kind of answer.. The irony is the piece of crap pc wich was running it yesterday and my earlier assumption that with my new shiny rig it would be plain sailing /cry..

TLR My SWTOR broken tried everything the internet has top offer any ideas???
