First off, if you have any basic questions as far as gameplay is concerned, then you'll want to refer to the "Sticky: Welcome and New Player Info" thread, found in this forum at the following link: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=2

Otherwise, the most major obstacle when playing, that is not addressed in the linked guide, will be communicating and playing with others. However, it's nothing to be worried about.

There are certain social nuances and etiquettes that many seasoned MMO players take for granted and they are therefore not as patient with new players as a result. This group, however, represents a very small number of players. They may tend to be the most vocal at times, but the vast majority of players are more than willing to be helpful in assisting with any troubles you may have.

So, if you are playing on a team and you get kicked off for what appears to be no apparent reason , don't let that discourage you. The best thing to do would be to reflect on the events leading up to that point and then post a descriptive thread in this forum so that other players can point out what happened. Please, do not let that experience be your last, either. Learn from it, and move on. In a situation like that, it may not have even been your fault, anyway.

You are in no way required to research teaming do's and don'ts before jumping into your first experience. There are some who would have you believe that it is completely taboo to ask a question in the game, that you should instead search for the answer on the internet. All you need to do is use your best judgement. There are indeed several questions that could be better answered with in-depth internet guides and videos, however many players are still more than willing to answer questions in game. The only stupid question is the one not asked.

In closing, there are angry players out there who would try to chase you away from a fun game. Don't let it get to you. This is merely a reflection of what it's like in the real world. People like that are in every community. Just ignore them and move on, and enjoy the game!

There are many players on every server who really like answering questions and helping people out, you just have to ask them!
