RabidTreeMonkey
TL: DR PLEASE BIOWARE, GIVE US A WAY TO DUEL WITHIN OUR FLEETS. THANK YOU Details: so this should already be in the game, probably just another oversight by Bioware that can be fixed. Everyone who played WoW (sorry for the comparsion, but it makes the point well) remembers how fun it was dueling outside Orgimmar/Ironforge. It wasn't for everyone, but it was a good way to pass the time and a staple in many of the pvp videos to prove one's skill. In SW:ToR, we are instead relegated to flying off to some nearby planet for a duel which is silly since the largest concentration of players tends to be at the Imperial/Republic fleets. Given that the players most likely to duel are PvPers, it's also not enjoyable to be forced out of the fleet when the primary pvp quest/gear vendors are located in the fleet. Then there is the added annoyance of slow load times on most planets versus the quicker loading of player ships or the Republic/Imperial Fleets. I have a solid state drive which helps to speed the loading times up considerably, yet it's still too slow. Signed, Jezazel, Commando, Nadd's Sarcophagus EDIT: Guys please, if a dueling area in fleet sounds like a good idea to you, don't just sign the petition, spread the word on your fleet /general chats. If there's enough support, Bioware might choose to be *that* much quicker to address this sorely missing content. FalmeseReb
just run into a flashpoint... Esseles works great on the republic fleet. The first room is even a nice size for an arena. Edited March 11, 2012 by FalmeseReb
RabidTreeMonkey
Wait, what? We tried dueling in a few Flashpoints, didn't work. Are you sure it works within Essels? And even if it does, players must then zone in/out each time to find more opponents that just the few grouped up for the flashpoint. Or what if you're in a WZ group and wanna duel someone outside your group? Then what? You'd have to group up and then zone into the same flashpoint (which would be after queuing with your WZ group, and then leaving to duel). It's just not as easy as it should be ya know? Dee-Jay
Social hubs always need dueling points. Agree.
Sylvan
I like this idea. It would need to be called "Training Room" though, as allies don't duel each other, they train. The central lifts in the cantina could have a lower floor for this, with a viewing area, cantina vendor and a jukebox. Some kind of arena/pit for people to duke it out. cycao
having to run into a flashpoint does not do it for me. I had to tank for EV last night and im not big into that. We had to wait a few times for AFK's and random crashing. It would be great if we could kill the time killing each other but no. Same goes for waiting for the group to get together or waiting for a queue to pop etc. Take out vehicles on the fleet, put in dueling.

RabidTreeMonkey
Bump for more support. Please pass the word along to your friends and servers. I know dueling isn't for everyone, but it's a great way to pass the time when bored with nothing to do. Maybe I should take my own advice and let people on my own server know, too. =o

MatchpointServe
Great idea, but the hero engine can't handle something that complex in such a heavily populated area.
