Since the last patch the performance I experience whilst playing has dropped dramaticly. I was able to run this game on all medium settings with no noticable drop in frame rate up untill the last patch where as now warzones have become almost unplayable due to very choppy framerates. I have even been experiencing a drop in frame rates in flashpoints and some strange animation anomalys such as my rifle bouncing about more than normal on my back. I have tried setting all setting to high then to very low and then chosing my custom settings, no improvment. I have tried running the game on all low settings, no improvment. I completely re-installed my computer and SWTOR, no improvment and I have set my graphics card to high performance through catalyst control centre, no improvment. This issue is extremely annoying as it has made a game I was hugely enjoying playing very hard to play. After patch 1.1.4 I was experiencing the error 9000 disconnects patch 1.1.5 fixed this but itroduced the above issues. Please please please if anybody can help me with this I would be most appreciative as I would really like to start enjoying this game to it's full potential again.

Here is my DXdiag

Greetings Isiago,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the performance of the game. Although you have no doubt attempted some of the steps below, could you please ensure that you have checked each of the following:
  1. You should make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your system. For further details please check here.
  2. Check that your Graphics card and Sound card have the most recent drivers installed. For instructions on how to update your Graphics card please see here, for Sound cards please see here.
  3. Check that you have installed all of the Windows Updates for your Operating System. This is important for system reliability and program compatibility.
  4. Check the minimum specifications of the game, to determine whether your computer may experience difficulties running the game.
  5. Reducing the in-game graphics settings may help to improve the performance of the game.
  6. You can try closing down any unnecessary applications that may be running in the background. You can check the applications tab and processes tab in Task Manager to see what programs are currently running.
  7. Resetting your User Interface (UI) may help to clear graphical issues you are experiencing. To reset your UI please hold down the “Ctrl” key and press “U”. You will need to do this twice to fully reset your UI. Restarting your client (or simply logging out and then back in again) should also do the same.
  8. Please check the Server Lag (latency) icon to the left of your mini-map while in-game. This will display the current quality of the connection to game server. If this attribute shows that there is a poor connection, then your issue may be related to latency. Please check this article for helpful tips on connection troubleshooting.
I would also strongly advise that you read through the following thread, A Note on General Performance Issues from Avi Mintz, our Associate Project Manager for the client engineer team, and Joveth Gonzalez, our Associate Online Community Manager, which outlines many performance tweaks and improvements that you can make to improve the game clients performance.

If the problem persists after you have checked the above, then please reply here with your updated DxDiag and Client logs and we will endeavour to assist you further. Please see this thread for information on how to obtain these.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Hello Sutll

First of all i want to say thank you for you swift reply it is much appreciated. I have followed the list you posted, I have the most recent version of direct x installed on my computer (direct x 11) I checked this by following the guide linked in your post. I have deleted my graphices card driver (which was up to date) and re-installed it and have also checked that my sound card drivers are up to date, which they are. I have checked that all updates have been intsalled for windows through the automatic update tool and I am up to date. I have checked the minimum specs required to play the game and I am well above them with my machine. As I said in the last post I have reduced all setting to low both within the game and on my catalyst control centre and unfortunatly this has made no difference. I use gamebooster to close un-needed applications whilst playing. I have also turned off unwanted applications without running game booster neither has made a difference. I have reset my useer interface to no avail. My server latency is usally 5 bars, around 100ms, sometimes dropping to 4 bars but never exceeding 200ms. I have read the note on general perdormance issues and although informative there was nothing contained within that I hadn't already tried.
I have also been experiencing a graphical anomaly with all settings turned to high and bloom turned on the screen becomes pixelated, please see screenshot.

This issue only seems to present itself with anti-aliasing turned to high and bloom turned on turning off bloom seems to fix the issue. Having read other posts regarding this it seems to be a problem with the latest ati graphices drivers.
The fact still remains that I have only been experiencing this performance issue since the last patch, it is what prompted me to update my graphics card drivers in the first place so having run the game with both sets of drivers and experiencing the same issues with both, I highly doubt it is in anyway related to the drivers or my hardware. It also seems that other people have been experiencing similar problems to me since the last patch. Is this a known issue + will it be addressed in the next patch? Any information you could give me would be appreciated to stop me worrying that I will no longer be able to play the game with the performance I once had.
The only other thing I can think of that has changed recently is my aquistion of the full Columni armor set including weapons. The only peices I havn't got are boots and gloves, which are Tionese, and the bracers. I was wondering if the animations on this set of armor could reduce performance in any way. I am probably just clutching at straws with this but thought I would include it for good measure.
As requested here is my latest DXDiag

I don't seem to have any client logs in the path specified so here is the most recent launcher log

I started rubberbanding after the patch, which is probably what is happening to you.

Do you notice it when walking forward that your motion is not smooth? Like you get periodic hiccups at the same intervals?

It's new with the patch and it's not graphical, it's netcode related.

I have indeed noticed this, mostly in the fleet area though it seems to correct itself when in low population areas.

Come on, posting dxdiag or explaining problem with FPS will make forum admins only copy paste some steps they offer EVERYBODY having fps issues, i bet they dont even read ur dxdiag or forward it to their developers, just imagine, they ALREADY have dxdiags from about hundreds thousands of people, don't u really think they couldn't find out what is going on if they did a SINGLE effort at least?

No offense, but what do u expect from DEV's who can not do simple math?

very disappointing since it actually worked a lot better pre patch.
I hope they go back to the old way

it feels like your graphics are stuttering when running or riding? this is due to your fps dropping for example I may be at 110 fps and out of nowhere it drops to 55 up and down ect ect. unfortunately I have suffered from this same issue on two machines which are hardly low end and I cannot offer you any advice I to have tried everything, as for the graphical issue how hot is your card getting?

Now that you mention it, the quality was better before the update. I'm also having the same problems with the game. Frame Rate poor as hell no matter how low the graphics are.
