I agree, Make Legacy account bound (Optional) or add more slots.

Or both!

And if there's someone out there that happens to have the legacy name, tie it to the server it was created on, simple as that.

So I would be Vergg (Kath Hound) if Vergg was my legacy name, which it isn't.
People often rate arguments based upon who is speaking rather than what is being said.

as all classes are mirrored. pick the opposite advanced class as you play the other faction. there is only need for 8 slots. 4 republic 4 empire

12 is enough if you plan to play on one side and roll alts to unlock stuff on other.

What's the problem here? Are you afraid of offending Bioware by asking for a full 16 slots? Do you feel that your experience will be muddied by people having too many opportunities to make alts? Some explanation of why 16 is too many would be good.

Since every class & faction has access to human, getting a Human char to level 50 will instead provide a Presence buff to all alts. It's not that human is unbalanced, but it does have a different result than other species.

I agree. Let them cap the characters at 50 total regardless of sever or open the Legacy across servers.

I cant help thinking by the time I max level my legacy I will have all my slots filled.

To be fair, it *is* sort of unbalanced. Getting a Human to 50 actually confers an actual gameplay advantage. The other ones are all purely cosmetic.

To be honest, the idea of being able to pick "off" races for characters doesn't really excite me very much. (the only real reason I can see for it is to make the fiction of the new character being a relative of the old character more palateable.) So I'm pretty happy my main is human. It'll make leveling all my other characters a tad easier.

We for sure need more slots. Originally I was going to have separate servers for Empire and Republic, but with Legacy, we need all our characters on one server to take advantage of the benefits.

If we don't get more character slots, a lot of us are not going to have room for all the characters of different classes or races that we'll want to play.

After seeing the presentation, I already decided to give up my Imp server and create characters on my Republic server, so I can work on legacy levels there.

This is putting a damper on my playing really, we need some answers on whether they are giving us more character slots, so I can choose which characters I will need to delete.
