Allied/Adversary Guilds

Not sure where to post this, so I'll try here

So before launch, we could register and join guilds, and declare up to three other guilds as adversaries (if opposite faction) or allies (if same faction).

Apart from an increased chance of allied and adversary guilds ending up on the same server, nothing else at all seems to have been done with this system. Allied/adversary guildmembers don't even get a slightly different shade on their player/guild tag so that they're noticeable from a distance.

Are there any plans to add additional functionality with this system?

Way back, Ultima Online had a 'declare war' option where guilds that were 'at war' could interact more with each other - they could PvP even if on the PvE shard, for instance (and most guilds adhered to a code of conduct on this). Even a shared (cross-faction!) chat channel would be welcome.
