Windows 7 64 bit

As of right now I have to have all the setting on low or off and the resolution at 1280 x 720 for this game to even try to run smoothly (at times). It is truly frustrating, most of the time I range from 7-15 fps. I would appreciate any help/advice any of you could give so that I can actually enjoy this game
Get a video card the 5.75 leads me to believe you have on board graphics and if that is true a vid card will improve performance

Um do not go with this recomendation. Your win XP is most likely 32bit therefore you are VERY close to the max you can have on system RAM. In order for any of these recommendations to become availiable to you, you will need to upgrade to a 64bit Operating system so this sould be your starting point

Hi everyone, I am hoping to get some help.

So I am looking to upgrade my Graphics card as it is awful, It is a Hd 5450, So I am looking to upgrade it to either the Ati Radeon 6850 or 6870 are these good cards are they worth the price?

So My motherboard is a ASrock M3A UCC hope that helps.

I need to upgrade my psu as I need one that has 2 external power cables to plug into the graphics cards, so what is the most cost effective one?

also I have 4gb ram looking to upgrade it, is it worth it.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Both are good cards this will power both. Never skimp on the PSU

Video cards should be selected by what monitor your using if your running a 900p or less monitor these would be cheaper.

For the memory if you have a 64 bit operating system you could bump it up to 8GB
(anything over 4 most people will say is not needed for gaming) if not look to see if you have the fastest you can get for your MB I think it will support 1600MHz but make sure before you buy.
DISCLAIMER Your going to be adding more heat in your system so a fan upgrade will probaly be needed (Higher CFM) If your case does not have a front and rear fan i would upgrade the Case also. TAKE the side off your case and measure to make sure everything fits you never stated what PC you have.

when i inquired about upgrading in my own thread here i was told to upgrade to a intel core i5 650 and a Geforce Gtx550

now i understand the GPU upgrade, however i did some looking into comparing the i3 550 and the i5 650 and they look nearly identical
is it worth the $200 to upgrade the PCU or should i put that into a better GPU and maybe come ram, and a new razer keyboard?

Now i am ONLY looking to play SWTOR on MAX settings in every possible way. i doubt i will be playing other games on here, and if i do want to in the future ill upgrade again or buy a whole new rig
any suggesting on getting the most out of this game?
The GPU is the problem or lack of you will also need a new PSU and up it to 4 GB ram

Okay guys, I have made a few threads about my current project of building a new PC and have gotten alot of great feedback from all of you. Basically I have narrowed it down to what I am pretty sure that I want. All I am looking for is some opinions and which equipment to choose from.

I am currently between one of these three video cards:
1- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...839&CatId=3669

2- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...682&CatId=3669

3- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...248&CatId=7005

The reason I don't go for the EVGA card right away is because I am trying to save some money :/ But is it worth the extra cash?

Processor: AMD FX-4100

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131767

PSU: 500W Corsair

RAM: 8 GIG Corsair Vengeance

Harddrive: 500gig Western Digital Black

I was going to check out your links and provide some feedback but they don't work for me. Maybe it's just me though.

ATI Radeon HD 3450 memory size 256mb, bus width 64 bits
350w psu
3gb of ram
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
My motherboard manufacture is dell model 0J584C AOO

Memory type DDR2

My computer is a Vostro 410 and it still has all it's original components

Thanks for any advice I appreciate it if more info is needed let me know and I will post more.

You're going to want to get a better Power Supply Unit (PSU), which may also mean (based on what I see) you'll want to go ahead and get a new mobo to better support your new GPU and PSU, so you may as well get new memory, and you're sort of looking at a new build.

Yes, you can just get a new GPU, but you will need a new PSU to go with the newer ones, 500W minimum is suggested.
