I love how people always mention cleanse...Because a skill with a 15 second cool down in a game where you can barely tell if someone is dotted or not makes everything all better. The changes made here is a GOOD thing. Dotting people and preventing caps was beyond easy... Especially for smugglers who had aoe dots that lasted for 20 seconds...That was just beyond dumb.

The initial hit of a DoT attack will still disrupt the cap right? (even though subsequent ticks no longer will).

However, because you're a DoT-spec melee, you had an unfair advantage over me on defense duty. You could even potentially win the fight and not need help at all. Having access to a broken tool doesn't make you a better PvPer, it makes you overpowered.
No. You're assuming he loses 2v1 automatically. Some players can win a 2v1. This however prevents it, which is why it's a legitimate point. Now he's forced to baby sit the one player who's not even fighting but just mindlessly tapping the node over and over again, while the other player destroys him. Before he could force both to engage him first and kill them both outright. So I have to agree with him, in this respect the change hurts pvp.

I have to agree with people saying the better change was to make dots not prevent taps after the dotter dies.

The fact that he could even do that in the first place is still an unfair advantage over a melee DPS that isn't using a DoT spec, and in the case of Mara/Sent is just one more point in favor of Watchman/Annihilation that neither one needed in order to be competitive.

You guys really just boggle me with how self-absorbed you are. Seriously, it's like you can come up with any number of justifications as to why you should be able to just keep 2, 4 or all 8 of the opposing team from taking your node.

Mindlessly tapping the node? What was mindless was throwing DoTs around and effectively CCing those players.

If one of them is mindlessly capping the node, he should be an easy kill, right? If he could win 2v1 before, he'll still win now.

More like the whiners like you will quit and then go off to complain that GW2 doesn't have this groundbreaking PVP that you need.

Seriously, I don't hardcore PVP and could easily hold 4 or more people off a node simply by dotting them all, dying, running back, re-dotting, dying, rinse, lather repeat. IF you think that's "skill" then I think you have a poor definition of skill.

Yeah. Apparently killing a single person when you've got 2-3 IS skill though.
