So what? This isn't WoW. I know, hard concept to wrap ones mind around.

I can't make up my mind whether you missed the point accidentally or deliberately.

No matter, considering that you're going down the "this isn't WoW" line of reasoning, this is where our little discussion ends.
Supporter of having the following in the game:
Full Control Space Combat, More Playable Species (not unlockable),
Swimming, Sitting In Chairs, Planetary Day / Night Cycles and other MMORPG elements
MMO's are not meant to be films, and neither should they be movie-studio set tours

WoW invented almost nothing on that list, yet had the common sense to implement them. So what exactly is your point by saying the game is not WoW here?

My guess is he was hinting to the fact that while SWTOR does not have those things, it is still a very fun game to many people.
I am eating your canon, and pooping your immersion.

There's little point to talking to you anyway, all you do is cry "assumption", and post stuff which has nothing to do with what you are responding to even after seeing links to articles/pages where devs at Bioware talked about what we are talking about. I'm sorry, but you are rather....clueless.

The irony is quite amusing isn't it.

I am sure a lot of the kids want to be able to shoot their blasters and fight underwater but I am glad we can't do that, it always seem silly in the games that allowed that sort of thing.
"Personally, I play a warlock to set people on fire as they run in fear while I steal their souls. As an added perk, I play an undead warlock so I can eat their brains afterwards. I suppose a better question is, why do people play anything else?" (Unknown WoW forum poster)

And because it's fun, that means what exactly?
That the game is somehow perfect and doesn't require further additional development?

with the way technology runs rampant across the Star wars universe, i would be avoiding water too.

God forbid i submerge my light saber, blaster pistol, ear piece, implants ect ect ect in water.

Lol bounty hunters swimming, all that high tech armor would become a useless anchor pulling you to the bottom of whatever body of water you choose to make your final resting place.
I bring you pain, the kind you cant suffer quietly!

No one is crying here lol. Except perhaps those who jump to illogical conclusions based solely on their own assumptions and resort to throwing insults when their logic fails under scrutiny.

Remember, whilst Fiat make cars, not every car is a Fiat.

Similarly, whilst WoW implemented a leveling zone that requires swimming, not every type of swimming content is a leveling zone.

Not EVERY single element in an MMO has to be mandatory.

To assume otherwise, is to be unimaginative.
