It depends on your definition of "needed".


"Needed" to be able to travel? No.

"Needed" to be able to travel quickly and/or avoiding the issues that plague the current travel system? Yes.

Again, they never say QT to ship or the fleet pass is an improvement. If the person asking the question meant it as an improvement to the travel system, they didn't make that apparent in their question.

You could say that BW pointing out a luxury item means they think the travel system is fine as it is, also because they state they discuss QT to ship "off and on." But that's more my opinion than what's written by BW.

Well they are apparently putting in travel from shuttle straight to your ship, which will somewhat help the travel system (I guess you reckon they are doing that to add "luxury travel" and not help the travel system too ).

Not as much as quick travel straight to the ship or giving everyone access to Fleet Pass, but better than nothing.

Personally I think eventually they'll have to move Fleet Pass off the SKV and/or add quick travel straight to your ship (and/or taxi straight to your ship), especially if they get more desperate to retain subs.

DL an Android emulator. It's free and works the same and you only need a PC.

sigh... it's 13€ (and postal services) for the rest of the world (you know there's more of a world outside US, right?) And it is NOT avalible to all OFFICIALLY supported countries, where game is OFICIALLY sold.

So for those without Fleet Pass would fast travel to your ship be an improvement to the travel system or not?

I am not sure. Currently I am still leveling and don't have a toon at 50 yet, so I don't need to use my ship all that often. I guess that could change once I hit max level.

But that's my opinion, and has nothing to do with what BW said
