ok in the third movie you hear Darth Sidous say, ill show you how to prevent yourself or the ones you love from dying. Then goes on to say that he does not know the secret but together that they would find the answer, no where in any of the movies does it show them learning this ability but i guess in the time lapse from the third movie to the sixth they must have had found how to accomplish this. Also think of it this way, in the First star wars movie, Palpatine must have been in his 60s or 70s and then in the sixth book which you would have to assume is atleast 30 years later (based on the apparent age of luke skywalker) therefore making Sidious atleast 90 years old. Kind of hard to still be strong in the dark side of the force being that age and able to move nimbly. So that also shows that they learned this "life extending" ability.

yes but the sith way of cheating death is not becomeing a force ghost after you die. There thing was not dieing at all therefore not needing to become a force ghost.

you really need to lay off Wookiepedia. The vast majority of their stuff is the authors interpretation of events based off of non canon sources.

here are some of the sources they use in the article you quoted

Star Wars: The Power of the Force (1985)
Star Wars: The Power of the Force (1995)
Alliance and Empire Expansion Set
Star Wars: The Action Figure Archive

those are all from the boxes of toys.

Um..they also appeared in several other things aswell, making them sources too. It doesn't matter if its an interpretation, its still there explaining it in some form or another that makes sense. In fact for this you don't really need to even use the wiki, you can make that realization by just watching the movies.

if you are saying it's an official reason then yeah it does matter if it's an interpretation.

Are you also saying that from the movies you come to the realization that Sideous taught Anakin how to become a jedi ghost?

No because he didn't teach him, he learned that there was a force ghost technique from him. Theres a difference between teaching and learning from, never did it say that Sidious taught him it. Obi-Wan and Yoda were the ones that helped Anakin with becoming a force ghost.

From the Darth Vader wookieepedia page:

Quote:
Though Skywalker did not know about Qui-Gon Jinn's secret of joining the Force, and was surprised when Kenobi's body vanished right before he killed him, he was still able to retain his personality when joining the Force. Jinn had been outspoken in life about the Living Force, and taught Yoda on Dagobah that the secret to eternal life via the Force, was with love. Thus, according to Jinn, a Sith could never truly attain it. As he passed from life, Skywalker's love for his son consumed him completely, transforming him into a spirit like his Master had before him.
end debate.

If I'm correct.. isn't like impossible to become a Force Ghost as a Sith?

We have only Khallig but he doesn't seem that dark sided.
Hapan: "This creature has information that could lead us to a woman who has been kidnapped. We will get that information."
Luke: "This woman is a citizen of the New Republic, and if you do not take your hands off her, I will take your hands off you."

From what i understand, your meant to view Darth Vader & Anakin as two different people, he was blinded and corrupted when he was transformed into Vader, but when he was dying and he saved Luke he had reverted to his old original self Anakin, so when he died his ghost was him as a jedi not sith.
