I had a problem with the same card series. I thought i had the best drivers but I went to amd and used the auto detect software and it over wrote my old driver now the game is mint. Went from 20fps to around 80-110 fps. Might be the chipset update dunno.
I hate WOW

Hi all

We are aware that there is an issue with some of the recent versions of ATI (AMD) graphics drivers which are causing problems with entering Star Wars: The Old Republic.

In order to help fix this we would ask that you ensure you are using the latest driver version by downloading and installing it directly from the AMD website at http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx.

For further useful information about updating graphics card drivers please visit our Help Center article at:
http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/1942.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you on Star Wars: The Old Republic!
