^-- that. Got my pc from them at Aion's launch in 2009. No issues to date *knock on wood* and runs TOR fine.

Now I'll probably get home from work and it'll be a melted heap of metal, plastic, silicone and dreams.

That article is misleading...AMD will still make processors just less of the high performance models.....which sucks I think, my 8 core kicks *** I think they were onto something with a couple more years of design.

Right, point is they are not going to be competing with Intel Gaming machines anymore

was able to build a system for around $700. getting 70-100fps with all settings maxed at 1920x1200

i5 2500k
z68 mboard
8gb memory
amd 6870

like others said, use newegg and get a techie/n3rd friend to assemble it for you.

Mate do some research and build your configuration, trust me for 950$ you can get an excellent PC.

That is sad. I have always liked AMD processors better, they never did me wrong. Maybe it's just me but I've had bad luck with Intel. Even when AMD started falling behind in the advancement of CPU technology I've always stuck with them.

Yeah don't buy from tigerdirect unless you know how to RMA hardware with the manufacturer. Tigerdirect's customer service is awful. They have good prices but if you get bad product, you're on your own.
