It took longer than 3 months for most guilds then. Plus there was no "Hard Mode". It was one difficulty. 40-man raids. Those were the glory days.

Do you think it is accurate to say that with fewer max people in a raid that it is easier to master or harder?

I remember in the massive raids in EQ1 that a single mistake could doom the attempt (at least when first trying to down them).

Of course in those days you could sometimes overcome them in zerg tactics rather than intelligent game play.

Sorry for the derail.

AQ didn't happen until 14 months after the game was launched. I think Ony & MC (at release) and ZG20 (added later) was it until the 1.9 AQ patch. My personal all-time favorite was Sunwell. Didn't clear it until our guild went back after farming the TOC loot pinata - took us over a year and a half and Conquest gear.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

I hope they don't ever add it.
In other words: I am a bad who is afraid ppl will see my low dps. Seriously? cookie cutter specs? No one is going to force you into anything because they can't see your spec. I support combat logs because they help improve my dps. Oh wait, i forgot, some players can't.

Thanks
LOL wow you're so cereal.

FYI I don't have children, the "kid" i mentioned was a hypothetical scenario.

You just attempted to give someone parenting advice on a video game thread, who's upset? Who's getting a little too serious?

You should probably be quiet now, you're embarrassing yourself more and more with each post.

Part of me hopes you'll respond to this though, you are quite entertaining. sarcastic-->

I support combat log because if I am bad or doing something wrong, I need to know it so I can fix it. Lets say, if I am dpsing and only doing 5% of the dmg while another dps is doing 90%, and I don't know about it, I am probably not going to do anything to change it.

Then you are just bad in general. No DPS log will help that comparison above.

The Combat log/dmg meters have pros and cons. However, as stated by many people in this thread they use it to get better. If that was solely the case then I think everyone would be for it.

Pros:
Helps raid gauge themselves to enrages or timers for certain fights. What are they lacking? Buffs? Consumables? Gear? Make up?

Allows a player to fully maximize their DPS, Utility, Healing on certain fights. (In Wow, I was #1 DPS on a lot of fights as a Death Knight, but some fights that required me to do other things I may not have been.)

Helps verify what Bioware is saying is actually true with skills, buffs, nerfs, etc. A lot of the gaming community over time help WoW fix a lot of their mistakes. It helped keep a better balance then you think, even though WoW seemed to over tune or under-tune the majority of the time.

Cons:
You have close minded people who think that DPS is everything. Everyone cannot be #1. (Some fights are about objectives, survivability, mashing a button, or moving. All affect DPS)

During some parts of WoW it minimized SPECs, due to being a BEST SPEC for Maximizing DPS.

Maybe a player does not like the rotation or priority list. Not his play style.

Turns a lot of people Elitist

I keep comparing to WoW as it was what I had played since Day 1 of it coming out and did not quit until this game but A lot of guilds would only take certain classes or specs. IF you wasn't you didn't have a chance.

Now of course some people are like, WELL CRAP ORYNN the object is to do the most DPS so why not chose that spec. Because people pay to play and any game that makes you chose a certain something, is limiting you and the game.(Everyone has different view points)

I for one think the End Game content in SWOTR is a complete joke. Clearing Normal EV, KP Hard Mode EV and KP in 1 week and the nightmare the 2nd week is not "End Game" Content...

pro and contra combat log is like shooting an arrow at a target.
target hit? yes. ok thx bye --> player1
target hit? yes. ok, where exactly did I hit the target? could I improve my aim by XXXX? should I take YYY into account, wait until ZZZ? -> player2

and ofc you can add the whole teamplay aspect. am I really a bad person because I told this nosepicking s.cumbag to move his buddadam.n as.s and start helping properly?

Logs are coming, so no point in arguing about it. Either the community stay relatively nice as it has been, or goes to crap like WoW. Up to them to decide.
