It makes the entire game cookie cutter. There will be a "best" spec for every class and you will have to push buttons 1, 4, 1, 1, 5, 7, in that order or you will be a leper. Because you are 6.875% DPS shy and this is just unnaceptible.

Thats what endgame raiding is all about, your 15 teamates wont see your funny build as amusing as you do when your group keeps wiping if they ever add content with any challenge in this game. There is SUPPOSED to be easier modes for like minded people that dont want to play cookie cutter setup or optimal rotation.

Are they funny builds now when they are beating the content just fine?

I think the truth is in the fact that you worry about that so much... likely because it has happened to you.

But why would you want to raid with people who would do that, anyway...? Are you so desperate to raid with them that you think they should take you along, even though you don't hold up to their standards of play..? You're afraid that they might boot you if they could only see how bad you're playing...?

Solution is simple. If you don't want to be judged on your performance... You play with people who don't care about your performance.

Don't keep trying to obscure everyone's performance just because you're afraid to see the results of your own.
Holy Moly! Its' like you can't comprehend anything else anyone writes. It has absolutley NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PERSONAL PERFORMANCE

Do i need to repeat this for you? Hello McFly! Anyone home?

I don't want to be disgusted and have to sift through all the childish bantering that goes on in chat channels as a result of a parse.

Should I HAVE TO LEAVE THE CHANNEL to protect myself from the nonsense? No dangit, i shouldn't have to do that.

Should I have to game in an enviroment that expects me to change my spec every month based on the latest theorycrafted FOTM following a patch with balance updates? No, i should not.

Should I be forced to withdraw myself socially from a game and group with a very small number of exact like minded people, just to avoid the toolbags who abuse this stuff?

When I can live in a MMO world that currently has NONE OF THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR in any open chat channels.

No - I DO NOT have to endorse your epeen measuring sticks, which ruin the civility and communities within a game

Whole content is funny, i said IF they ever add hard fights, like many thought that nightmare modes would be. Now NM modes are cleared by most casual of casuals so doesnt really matter what spec anyone is or what dps anyone does.

That is YOUR EXPOSURE to end game raiding. Min/Maxing at every turn. Nowhere did I read that you are expected to min max every talent point for every encounter in every raid in order to be successful.

That is how YOU learned to raid and succeed. It is NOT ESSENTIAL to have fun raiding without doing that.

No one is measuring their epeens. Like said, may people want to play with people that have same mindset with em. When they add logs and meters in near future, there is plenty of people like you that wants to play for your idea of fun and with different specs and with no serious manner. If they realy make 3 different difficulty levels with nightmare modes beeing for hardcores and normals for casuals you can then play with people you wish to on the difficulty level that suits for your groups mindset and skill level.

I surely know that some of our guild memebrs that raided so far wont get into a raids anymore except as replacements but thats our guild and same goes for many other "hardcore" guilds. There is much more casual guilds then for people that aint so serious to raid with. Nothing to do with Epeen.

Yes, and you have an option to use or not to use meters and logs Or dont have to do min/maxing or need cookie cutter spec, I dont see any problem here.

Wow. Please read what others say. It is a skill. Paying attention. Empathizing with the your opponent in an argument. Try it some time. See something from someone else's point of view.

Are you going to guarantee me that if parses are introduced into the game, that i won't see childish bantering - furious name calling and fights happening in open channels as a result? Can you guarantee that won't happen? Can you guarantee that I won't be in a group when a tank runs one parse after one pull, doesn't see optimal DPS - so he jets a pug group and now we have to spend another hour finding one? Can you guarantee that won't happen?

that is the result of parses on a community. Forget about your raid benefits for one stinkin minute and acknowlege what it does within a community.

I cant promise anything, i see lots of childish bantering already, with or without meters there will be childish bantering if they ever add harder fights. Just cause you and some other players had issues with people that used meters wrong doesnt mean automatically that it destroys community.

In WoW there was meters from molten core, from first raid up to date and reason why it was miss used wasnt cause there was logs and meters, it was few people using it wrong, jsut as gearscore was great addon if used correctly on evaluating potential performance of differently geared people when creating a pug but it was used badly.

Reason why WoW community got "ruined" as some might say wasnt due any addons or mods, player base simply just grew too big and so did the demands on instant gratification due the whole gaming as whole changed in last 9 years a lot also anonymity offered by cross server features added some to that.

You saying that dmg meters destroys communities is just your oppinion and is not based on any real life eveidence or statistics, i never saw much harm cause by it except on occasional BH pugs. Im sorry if it destroyed community for YOU but dont speak its some kinda fact or in voice of majority of community.

Ill guess well see in few months when BW adds logs and week from that when we got meters in use.
