But - it is a feature (you pay extra for it).

Flawed analogy is flawed.

These are exactly the posts Bioware wants to avoid, mainly because THEY ARE TRUE.

I'll pay $0.50 extra per month for a combat log.

Also, what car doesn't come with an air conditioner standard? This game was supposed to be a Lexus, not a Kia.

You clearly read the forums since you're posting on them. Do you realize that all of the controversy and discontent flying around on here about class balances is soley attributed to the fact that there's no data to quantify everyone's claims?

When someone *****es about tracer missles hitting them for 8k damage, it's impossible to have a real discussion about this because the assertion itself is unverifiable.

Imagine that you are given a bag filled with pennies and the person tells you there's 1,000 pennies in the bag. Then you come to me and tell me that you have 1,000 pennies (which you've never counted or even checked to make sure there are pennies in the bag) and I tell you that you only have 800. The ensuing debate would be complete and utter nonsense unless we first confirmed that your bag has any pennies in it.

Like it our not - BioWare has a reponsibility to provide it's player base with the most enjoyable community it can possibly help sustain. They are the governing body in charge of making the rules. They provide the tools. Any additional tools they introduce to an enviroment that has an effect on the community is their responsiblity.

Entrust this power to the people? Again - learn your lessons from MMO history. These same people have proven on a whole that these tools cannot be trusted to them to be used responsibly. There are solutions.

There is only 1 viable argument for having a combat parser in this game: Self improvement to maximize builds and rotations.

There is 1 viable solution: Combat dummies with a built in meter on them only.

If they open this game up like the Wild, Wild West - and allow every idiot in the world to carry a loaded weapon in public, there will be social chaos. As opposed to what we have now - a civil, mindful, community.

I actually agree with your argument and your solution on this. I could accept this myself. Well said sir.

.
Am I ahead or behind you on that same list?

Using analogies is generally a losing prospect in arguments. Rarely are they good enough not to be nitpicked apart and become the focus of the argument instead of the topic at hand.

I can list a few, rather high performance cars that did not come with A/C. Also, your analogy is rediculous.

i am utterly shocked about how much crap the op has suffered from asking a question.
1 - his opinion is not everyone's opinion - we all know this
2 - these forums are mostly about bashing or congratulation the game - its hard to look through this forum and see something like this
3- hes asking - does anyone have any news links or news that can address his question?

This is 100% false. If this were a single player game...possibly. But seeing how 16 man operations is a group based team activity...false. The group should also have tools to maximize and improve as a whole.
