Like I said, I think it will be a good way for people to filter out the folks that they want to associate with.

Believe it or not, players that don't play with mods, or play in high stress progression raid guilds, do find one other, and find like minded folks to play with.

Social Guilds, RP Guilds, and even just 'Whatever' Guilds, all take part is some, if not all, of the games content. They just do it at their own pace, and their own way.

This will give us the tools, to see who, we want to play the game with.

Nah, thast why there is 3 difficulty levels. What you mentioned should apply only to nightmare modes.

But you and me both know, if you are playing with like minded players most of these problems go away. Problem is most of these players that are opposed to logs and such, WANT to play at a certain level, that requires a different playstyle.

Funny, my alliance never did this when I played. Maybe this was added in later. Or maybe it was due to the fact that combat logs are worthless in EVE, because after the fact, you've already lost your ship, and probably the space you live in, too!

I never said I'm against extra tools, just that they aren't by any measure actually needed. Not with the difficulty we currently have anyway.

I am very sorry for having a life outside this forum, I will correct that immediately.

In the mean time:
Ragnarok Online
Guild Wars
EVE Online (when I played it anyway, the combat log it had then was useless)
Lineage series -> L2 had a combat log, but it was on the level of EVE one, i.e. useless.
DDO -> see above again. This one is only useful if you die and had no idea what hit you.

These are off the top of my head. I've also played several smaller ones, but I don't remember any names as it was years ago now, nor do I remember if they had combat logs or not :P

I don't agree.

-nods-

That's why we have discussions, not a bad thing to differ in how we would like to see the game progress.
