The former great topic was eaten by the mighty sarlacc so let's ressurect it ;)

Here's some quests ideas:

You are snoring into your docked ship getting some deserved rest, when suddenly a violent shaking throws you out of your couch.

The interior of your ship is in a big mess as you didn't activated the artificial gravity (you where landed)

With difficulty you reach the cockpit and discover that you are being tracked away by a utility droid ship.

Seems someone made a mistake and ordered your ship to be removed form the docks.

Your options are:

  • Get your ship back online
  • Shoot at the other ship (need to fix the laser turret and or aiming computer)
  • Try to board the other ship (you are still in the athmosphere)
  • Grab a comlink to get in touch with an official that can solve your issue
  • Jump out while you still can... and if it wasn't a mistake
  • Wait and see

=============================================================

As a way to use again the precedent mechanics so the coder's work is well invested

Epic moment:

Investigating for rare Sith artifacts, you are deep into a big old ship in a space ship graveyard, when the informer that gave you the lead calls you on your comlink.

He tells you the whole ship is trapped with explosives, either you transfer XXX thousands credits to him either he blows apart the ship.

Thing is your scanning confirmed there are indeed artifacts and you aren't very far from their location now.

Choices

  • Make the transfer and pray the guy doesn't blow the ship. Note: the informer is well known for not bluffing ever and is usually reliable...
  • Forget artifacts and get back ASAP to your ship
  • Try to locate and jam the frequency & code activation for the explosives
  • Bluff the guy on how you are just putting twice as much credits on a bounty over his head. Contract starting when you are dead or the ship blown.
  • Continue as if nothing happened, you know he's bluffing. You are too frightening so he'd put this to realization.

At a point either the girl (girls are more evil ;) ) pushes the red button or you miscalculated the power of the charge needed to blow away the door leading to the artifacts, the ship starts "sinking" & rolling. You have to make your way out, walking on walls ceiling..., avoiding angry mynocks and others pests that have been awaken.

Space Encounter

You are taken out of hyperspace by the republic police to discover that your young "innocent" passengers hacked your security system to smuggle illicit cargo into your ship.

The cargo is worth thousands of credits. It was the way they found to make money to pay for the cure of their beloved mother. You learn later she's in fact a Sith master that have been poisoned and they are more her apprentices than kids.

Your ship is mostly disabled, processing hyperspace routines maintenance.

Your options

  • Convince the police you aren't guilty and deliver the culprits and the cargo
  • Accept to be boarded and ambush the police crew, take hostages.
  • Hide in the ship and let it be boarded and taken away
  • Use persuasion to earn time to get your ship back online, jam the police communication system, shoot their beam laser and fly away

I'm game!

You want to participate to the galactic most famous Pazaak game. Sadly there isn't any more room for you as your last contract delayed you... on purpose?

The main prize is that uber ZWXT space ship and a spot in the most wanted space port.

You might want to win:

  • For the ship itself
  • Because the astro nav get parts from an old system with secret routes in it.
  • For dismembering it and selling it in parts
  • For the space dock spot to rent it / use it
  • For the cargo that you know has been hidden inside by some hutts.
  • It's your only way to escape this planet

You wonder if you will:

  • Try to buy a ticket from a participant
  • Blackmail the organizer to get a spot
  • Kidnap a participant and fake your identity
  • Use the force to lure the security and organizers
  • Hack the main reservation mainframe and add your unexpected person to the event
  • Steal the ship while everyone is busy playing cards; leave a realistic miniature of it behind yourself.

Flash back

You are in a cantina finishing a routine delivery mission, on a very remote planet, when your eyes meet with someone that looks like exactly like you. You feel like connected... a twin?

You barely have the time to recover from the shock that this person is gone.

You start running after him/her when you are stopped by a huge unfriendly Gamorrean.

People start moving away from you two and you realize you didn't get the due payment.

You can:

  • Try to dodge the beast and continue after the twin
  • Try to locate your contact to get the thousands credits payment, while you send your companion to get big one busy. You don't want to be in debt with the hutts .
  • Fight and kill the walking green pig for his insolence then proceed with people still around / his master
  • Pretend you are a deadly BH | Republic commando, Give 5 secs to people around and the beast master to move away.
  • Explain how your droid is about to gas every one with lethal stuff, and so ask him to proceed (white smoke FTW)
  • Pull off your gloves and helmet, explain calmly how you are affected by a rare disease that kills people in a few days of atrocity suffering simply by touching them, and walk forward.
  • Call your companion in the ship, so he takes off and start shooting in the building making nice holes, run through them.

All that for a... plant?

Your Sith/Jedi master asked you to craft a rare recipe.

You are doing the boring gathering missions to get the components when you find out that one of the needed part is a very rare crystal flower that grows on top of a lava mountain.

After many encounters and difficulties (people died for this) you finally find yourself in front of what you realize is the last of these.

If you leave it, it might seeds others. If you take it it might simply disappear forever.

You connection with the force let you sense this flower has a special link with force powers.

You also know the plant will grow more powerful/efficient with time.

You are fully aware your master wants it; either Jedi as a proof or your skills and not to let it fall into bad hands, or Sith master, greedy to put his hands on it.

Lastly you have the feeling someone or something might have been tracking/following you. Maybe it's to steal it maybe it's to protect it.

What do you do:

  • Take the plant and make the recipe, accomplish your quest. Either give it to your master or keep it for you.
  • Rent laser excavation tools and take the plant with a part of the mountain into your acclimated ship cargo bay; hoping it will survive.
  • Leave it and sacrifice some of your force powers to hide it even from force users
  • Destroy it

Help?

You are hardly keeping the pace of a very tough fight (space or grounded) when suddenly an unknown and unexpected help blows apart your enemies.

This entity offers you to come with it/him/her but you have to leave your friends and companions away as there is room for you two only.

The voice is mechanical, and the body is covered in full black, old timer, composite armor.

There is this little thing in your head that keeps saying you something amiss even you know you would be dead by now without, this intervention.

As a matter of fact you also must report the fight ASAP to your military commander: Republic/Sith. (or mercenaries for money) And your ship or companions comlinks are dead, so impossible to send a message if you don't do it by yourself. Also you know your enemies might be gathering to fight back. So you need to move fast.

Your options are:

  • Say thank you and go for your commander (maybe try to bug it with a GPS)
  • Join this mysterious entity, there is certainly something important to be learnt
  • How about making a new friend see how you can maybe repaid "it"
  • Tick "it" so you can put your hands on all "its" belongings, ship, weapons... like proposing to give your "protocol" (assassin) droid as a gift
  • Defeat this puppet; show it only the strong survives

Shall we dance?

You are nearly caught by the security while paying a "visit" to the local crime lord and barely hide among the band.

Everyone is so nervous about the future show that they don't notice you.

Luckily all artists are wearing factice weapons and some even armours.

Thing is your mission was to discover who is this crime lord (or assassinate him). Nobody knows as he always wear a closed helmet and a black light device negating most of the light around "him".

You also heard a discussions among the artists that the best perfomer could get XXX thousands credits directly from the hands of the lord if he's pleased with the show.

Your options are the following:

  • Stay in the lodge hoping nobody will notice you while the others are performing
  • Go on stage in the first rank, you are an expert dancer.
  • Stay in the back doing you best to follow the others.
  • Hack the entertainer droid so he starts throwing smoke and lights randomly getting attention while you loose yourself in the crowd
  • Start the fire alarm / throw an incendiary frag to start a riot and flee away/ jump on the target
  • Convince / threaten others artists to help you hide in the show

Catch?

During your travel to an underwater world (please not Gungans...) you are asked to escort some major politician on a trip to a deep and remote dome.

There are two main possibilities for the travel, the most direct and obvious one and a second one that goes through some dark waters and not very frequented routes.

As you are in charge of the security you are asked to choose the best route. You know there are patrols alongside the main path. But it also could be easy for someone to fake an accident or use a false patrol ship to attack you.

The second route goes through a location that is supposed to be deserted and very very old, supposedly holding some knowledge or materials you are looking for. If you choose this way, you know at a point you'll have to go through very dangerous currents. And you'll be on your own with not support available. Even few dare to venture there.

You have 2 ships and you are in the one with the politician

Your options are:

  • Take route 1
  • Take route 2
  • Organize a (fake?) traffic accident use it to split your team to loose followers & take the route 2
  • Fake an engine failure, ask for pickup and deliver the politician to his enemies
  • Fake entering the ship, send droids piloting it to a route while the politician holds a holo conference.

Depending on the options at a point you might encounter a giant squid interested in your ship. Either you avoid it, or have it eats any other ship following or with you, either you finish into it's stomach then looking for a way to get out.

Later, due to a fight, a sabotage the second ship experiences an oxygen leak doubled with main power failure.

You know they won't be able to get to the next checkpoint.

You can:

  • Stop and take them with you (you'll miss oxygen sooner and won't move very fast)
  • Get out, try to fix their leak then transfer some oxygen & power (very dangerous and leave both ships vulnerable while doing so)
  • Leave them, your life or the politician one is more important.

During your trip, you will pass over an ever lasting underwater volcano that makes nice glowing patterns of lava. Some says it is alive and speaks to people willing to understand it. In fact the random patterns are, long forgotten, ancient hieroglyphs. In the heart of the volcano there is either the tomb of a Sith/Jedi master or some glowing artifact from disappeared civilization..

The contract

For some time now you've been living with a contract over your head. Nothing big but lately the reward upped to an insane price and well it's getting a bit too hot.

You are still wondering how to cut the ties leading to you, when a sexy young Twilek pulls you out of your thoughts. With the most charming smile you ever saw, he (she) tells you he could solve this small issue of yours.

There is something special in his violet eyes but your guts (force powers?) tells you it's serious and not a lie either.

When you ask for how much / why you get the same smile as answer, with a "in due time don't worry you’ll be able to repay me plenty".

His first suggestion is to fake your ID, so proposing to lead you to someone who can help.

If you accept you are now stepping into the dark underworld. You'll end with a new (random?) face, hair cut and fake cybernetic implants. Part of the package is brand new identity. If you want and can afford it his contact is willing to make plastic surgery on you and even change your sex.

As your ship is a too easy link to your "old" personality he offers a few possibilities like

  • Selling it for cash
  • Changing it's ID tag and even customizing it's exterior (time + $$$)
  • Blowing it with some dead body inside faking your death
  • Renting it for cheap and so luring possible enemies away
  • Storing it in a well hidden spot or dock on a remote planet

You are given an advice to stay away from your companions, at least for some time but it's your choice.

Later when he's taking you to a "safe" place you'll start seeking evidences that's a trap. This Twilek might in fact be a very smart BH. Also you don't know why but the reward for your head kept increasing.

At this point you can choose to trust him or not.

The little story behind all this is this person is the brother(sister) of a Twilek your mother saved from death, when you where very young. Not only you don't know she really saved him but also the person who wanted him dead make it so everyone thought she actually killed him. She flew the crime scene and your family(or only you) has been hunted since then. As there is no way you would believe the Twilek he chose to earn your trust and tell you when you would be ready.

Depending on your choices it could be just before dying from your last blow.

Cat and...

Your journey takes you to a fully automated droid factory either:

  • Looking for a specific replacement part.
  • To close a major contract, maybe for your client.
  • Investigating suspicious death linked with maintenance / domestic droids built there.
  • Sabotage / destroy it.

At a point during your "visit" some dangerous random events starts happening endangering your team and the live of the few humanoids still working there.

Your actions will lead you to discover that a droid have been changing the programming of the units build there, hiding assassinations programs in them. You've been identified as a threat and so must die. You are now being attacked by angry droids: cook, nurse... ;)

You'll be able to corner the boss... a mouse droid! It's the way an HK droid found to avoid destruction. No matter what you do he'll be able to flee through a small passage in a wall, after having activated an autodestruction sequence for the factory.

Seems you made a new "friend" that you'll meet again someday.

=============================================================

Piece of cake!

Seems you just won the lottery: a wealthy aristocrat hired you to escort him to a small trip and the agreed price just made your day.

You reviewed the route many times, done some recon and even left some spy bots to survey the area. The travel goes through places so safe that it'll be boring.

Later you embark on the client ship, make the trip. All goes smooth but for a few wannabe thugs that you quickly get rid of.

While going back to your ship you are intercepted by the local police armed to teeth.

You are now under arrest for killing the mayor by blowing out his spaceship.

At this point you can either fight the authorities or accept being taken away. Whatever is your choice you end in jail.

Pretty soon you'll find out that not only your client denies even having met you but is also known as the mayor best friend. Top of that your ship has suffered some serious damage due to a space fight.

Even worse your banking account has been frozen. You now understand why the client wanted you to leave your ship behind.

As you look like smarter than most prisoners, one of them offers you to take part into his plan to escape. It seems he has many big friends outside that would be pleased to meet you.

You have the following choices

  • Escape with him
  • While escaping get rid of this annoying pest
  • Report him to the guards
  • Do nothing

In the end you'll manage to escape and meet the big boss of your new friend, friend who could be dead at this time.

Depending you are a Sith or Jedi or he proposes to you to erase all proofs, get back your ship and your bank account, either by killing the aristocrat or managing to make him leave the planet.

In the last case he shows you many irrefutable proofs of how bad his that person.

While confronting the client or giving him the death blow (depending on your actions) you discover that the mayor isn't dead but it was in fact a trick to bring the crime lord into the open and no harm was intended towards you. You even realize your weapons had been switched before bording the ship and they weren’t lethal ones.

Now comes the choice either to

  • Help the mayor put the crime lord into jail
  • Kill the crime lord as he's a bad person
  • Kill the Mayor (and the aristocrat if still alive)
  • Flee this nasty planet

=============================================================

Hurry up!

You are sent either by your master (Jedi/Sith) or a client (BH, Scout...) to investigate a very remote star system as recent reports shows that the local sun is getting very bright lately.

When you arrive in the system your instruments tells you the star is about to collapse on itself becoming a white dwarf. At first you think your instruments are wrong as it's impossible to occur within a few days. But after many verifications you conclude that this is really happening.

Your data estimates that after a week it will be impossible for any ship to approach this system without being toasted by the star.

While scanning the system your computer noticed life forms on a planet in the edge of this system.

Due to the very short time ahead you have to choose a path of action:

  • Land on the living planet to save/scavenge as much creatures and plants as you can
  • Keep travelling through the system gathering data about this exceptional event
  • Travel as fast a possible to the nearest populated system for report and eventually get help

Few key elements:

  • One of the planets has archaeological sites of an ancient civilisation that could be related to Jedi/Sith force sensitive race now extinct
  • A race on the living planet has impressive regeneration capacities that could lead to new medicines or biological weapons.
  • The recording of the star collapse could lead to spectacular findings in physics. Either usable for military or civil applications.

4 weddings and...

Finally after years spent together, your best friend is about to leave you for the love of his (her) life.

At first you argued/joked that he/she's already been married 3 times, but this one seems the real one.

Lately you spent some time gathering stuff for the wedding and got in touch with old friends to invite them to attend.

On the D day you as are standing near the bride and the groom, during the ceremony, you hear the characteristically blip of a thermal detonator as it's landing near them.

Instinctively reacting you choose to:

  1. Sacrifice your life to save them
  2. Save your friend
  3. Save the bride / groom

In the first case you manage the survive but get a very long recovery and cybernetic arm/leg and scars.

While you where healing your companion left his (wife/husband) taking care of you to investigate leads on the assassin. You didn't get news since one month now. His last message to his (wife/husband) was only one word "Atiwa"

In the other cases the dying person has just the time to whisper "Atiwa" to his love.

After very difficult researches you find out Awita an old Zabrack word meaning love/hope.

At first you think it's just a message of love until you learn it's more like a magic and sacred word.

Immediately you think the assassin or client might be a Zabrack but it's such a small lead that it doesn't really help.

One day while speaking/arguing with the wife/husband you happen to say "Atiwa" in the conversation nearby the personal droid of the missing person, activating a recorded holo.

The holo shows a Mandolorian assault on a small town. It is clear the defenders have quite no weapons and it's a slaughter. A the end you see the missing(dead?) character killing a defenseless Zabrack female and shooting at her baby. Her last word to her daughter is Awita.

Both you and the husband/wife are shocked by this holo record. None of you knew this horrible past. your friend was so full of compassion, even if sometimes a bit harsh

From here you could,

  • Forget the past and make a new life going ahead with your new compagnion (have to convince him/her)
  • Go after your friend (if alive) and/or the killer: the daughter of the Zabrack

... pretty sure in the future, no matter your actions, you will encounter the Zabrack and will have her life in your hands.

=============================================================

In space no one can hear you...

Your last mission sent you outside a big space ship either to:

  • Spy / kill a target bypassing security (BH)
  • Hide from a threat (Jedi/Sith)
  • Repair damaged vital parts (Others)

While walking on the hull, an internal explosion, just below the surface, blows a violent electrostatic discharge near you. Thus disabling your comlink, weapons and damaging your breathing support system and leaving you dizzy.

You look at the oxygen tank and estimates you don't have enough time to get back to the nearby airlock.

The power managing your electromagnetic boots is weakening making steps after steps more dangerous threatening to you loosen you in space.

At this point you know you must decide to either

  1. Transfer most of the power to your boots to stay on the ship
  2. Keep the breathing system working
  3. Divide the power both to the boots and the breathing system equally

Top of that a nasty Mynock, really interested in your batteries, starts attacking you.

After some struggle, depending on your choices you will:

  1. Faint just before a droid grabs you
  2. See a droid shooting at you (with an electromagnetic gun & hook to pull you back to the ship)
  3. Awaken outside the ship plugged on a droid external power outlet

The idea behind this mini quest is to encounter a possible droid companion that saved your life.

What you don’t know (yet) is it’s the droid that sabotaged the ship.

He sees you as a useful tool to accomplish his malevolent quest.

Maybe you’re going to make him trust you and change his objectives or you’re going to manipulate him for your own purpose or suffer his evil plan.

=============================================================

Surrender!

The last enemy's bastion is surrounded by your faction members.

Estimates are you got 10 soldiers for each one of theirs. Your last recon team didn't report for too long now.

You would have given the assault but the daughter of your master is being held as hostage.

They are desperate and their last message was they would kill her would you dare to attack.

Time is running low as she was critically wounded in the last combat and needs med evac before the night falls.

As the highest ranking officer you have to decide what to do:

  1. Try to infiltrate with the help of your companion
  2. Negotiate and offer meds for their men
  3. Assault the unique entrance

In the first case even if you happen to bypass/disable the enemies you'll arrive just in time to see her dying in the arms of the enemy young commander. You'll even see him giving her a last kiss. Spotting you, full of pain he runs towards you his light saber aiming to kill...

In the second case the negotiations are very hard as they ask for meds to be able to heal all their men. The daughter insists for you to accept and even let them leave the place safely taking her away as hostage.

In the third case the assault is a slaughter on both sides as the only entrance is easily defended. You finally walk into the last room to face the enemy commander and your master's daughter dead at his feet.

Will you ever discover love does not cares for factions ;)

=============================================================

Confrontation

As a Jedi/Sith the time has come to face your enemy and settle it once for all.

You are in route to the agreed place when a strangely looking kid grabs your clothes to stop you.

He tells you to go back to your friends, you still have time.

You try to use your force powers to read in his mind then trick him away but unexpectedly it doesn't works.

Whatever you do he gives you a small pet that seems to purr when you touch it. You now feel relaxed.

Then before you're able to ask for more the kid runs away.

At this point you have to decide what to do about the pet and if you're proceeding to the confrontation or even if you try to follow the kid.

What you don't know yet is your enemy managed to make you have this creature, knowing it will consume your force pool; as a Sith to kill you more easily, as a Jedi to capture you and try to turn you to the light side.

You will discover this during the fight at a critical moment (or another fight if you went back).

You might opt to kill the pet. If you don't you'll discover that it acts like a force battery, first feeding on nearby energy sources then, with the correct bond, giving it back to a force sensitive person.

It would be a very valuable ally, provided you give it time to get used to it.

=============================================================

The Dying Trees [Jedi/Ithorian quest]

While dealing with black market people, your master (or race elder) learnt that on a distant (Kashyyk like) forest covered planet, the thousands years old trees are dying in mass. He sends you to investigate.

Located on the far edge of the Republic frontier, the planet is used as a base for scouting operations in the Sith territory.

Not long after your arrival you determine that with the current trend all the trees would have disappeared in less than 10 years. More dramatic is most of the oxygen in the atmosphere would be depleted in 2 years killing all living creatures and plants.

Your journey sends you down deep through the forest ground and nasty creatures.

You finally manage to locate the epicenter of the disaster and a Sith base/laboratory nearby. Also you find out an unexpected concentration of small exotic rodents. It is clear the Sith are responsible for the tree sickness.

You can decide to blow out the base, assault it or monitor and infiltrate it.

In the end there will be a confrontation with the Sith in charge, you arguing how they destroy the life and him laughing back at you saying how (Jedi/Ithorian) are the real plague of the galaxy.

Contrary to your believing the Empire isn’t responsible for the death of the trees.

They were just faster and smarter to acknowledge and find the source long ago.

In fact, the rodents came hiding in republic ships from gaseous worlds. They are bearer of a virus that kills the plants living upon photosynthesis and don’t need oxygen to live.

The Sith were close to find a way to genetically change the small animal to adapt to this type planet without killing the plants.

They want the planet intact as it’s the only usable location in the sector.

Depending on your choices more or less of the findings can be scavenged and so save the planet.

=============================================================

The Jedi Arch [Jedi/Sith quest]

While fighting his most dangerous enemy your master is deadly wounded. Unable to kill the assassin you still manage to make her retreat... not before making a deep scar on her face.

Upon dying your master reveals to you that the legendary Jedi Arch isn't a myth but do exists. Only his enemy and him are aware of it. He makes you swear to get it and:

  • as a Jedi protect it, but do not open it ever.
  • as a Sith, use its power

When you ask for its location he dyes grabbing your chest.

The whole place collapsing obliges you to leave his corpse behind. (You have time to grab his Lightsaber though)

Puzzled and saddened by your loss (as a Sith for your failure and because you still had so much to learn) you get back to your planet and prepare for the funerals.

Investigating you find, in the archives, old data mentioning the Arch. It is supposedly the key to the greatest force power. You also remember old conversations with your master; how he was preparing you to a great achievement and the key was surprisingly your body. At the time you didn't notice as you thought he was speaking about Jedi/Sith Mastery.

Later on you'll discover the chickenpox scars you got when you where young, just after being chosen by your master, form the pattern of a distant star system. Even more you learn the constellation name was long ago the name of a meditation technique before being changed to one of a more recent grey Jedi that improved it.

Much later in your adventures, you finally land on the planet and find the Arch either following or being followed by your master killer (depending on how your managed your quests).

This time you manage to lethally wound your old enemy. His last gesture is to throw his Lightsaber to slice the Arch knowing you can’t prevent the saber form reaching the artifact.

Would you have a companion with you and shout him to stop it he would be unluckily deadly wounded doing so.

Still the box is sliced in two revealing it’s empty.

Totally confused you see your master appearing

  1. (Jedi) : as a ghost. He then explains to you the true power of the force is in you and that’s the meaning the empty box and your quest

  2. (Sith) : living, advancing to finish you off. Your former master is laughing at your stupidity saying how he lured you all faking his death freeing his acts and also how you wasted your time on this old pile of junk.

=============================================================

The Hunt

You are on the hunt after a very dangerous predator either for the fun or to remove the threat from the autochthones.

After thousands years of evolution the creature has developed a camouflage system that makes all modern scan devices ineffective be it heat, movement, odor, sound...

Let’s say it will be you, your gun and well… the beast.

The first action is to analyze all the data regarding the locations were the beast has been seen or corpses found to identify a pattern. (There can be a mini game assigning points on a map with numbers, changing their importance “weight” to locate the lair)

Then you move to the suggested location (might be the wrong one) and start looking for clues. You have to visually find step prints, bits of fur on the trees, broken bushes branches, animal bones or simply lack of living creatures around or sounds.

At this point a scientific study can be made with gathered samples to build a close range scanner to help you.

Once the lair of the creature is found you have some options like trapping the area with mines, deploy laser turrets around (need a custom aiming system/scanner) or just playing hide and seek…

But, to be able to insert yourself into the zone safely, you’ll need to manage to get it out with a decoy.

Then, will you try to kill or capture the last specimen of its specie?

One thing is sure, you’d better find out, before the fight, lasers are like rain drop on his skin or you might end as a snack.

Last note: it’s a female and she's protecting her cub.

(edit): It would be nice if the fight occurs on a dark night between shadows and faint moon light.

=============================================================

Few ideas

  • Light puzzle: something like a colored pattern in the air that depending on which side you look at it can either
    • Becomes invisible
    • Starts or stops “dancing” (drawing letters, icons…)
    • Points towards a direction (or disappears only to be seen farther)

It could either lead the character to a specific place, display words… Or even better take consistence and reveal an unknown intelligent life form made of light.

[*]Room size puzzle: the interior of a room/building does not fit the exterior. There is a hidden room/cache inside.

[*]Investigation: your companion/trick delayed the janitor for 1 minute that you need to use to find the proof/item you are looking for. This without disturbing the room and getting out unseen. Timer is ticking.

[*]Beer game: try to make your target drunker than you to get access to some infos ;)

[*]The pursuit: follow or lose a target in the city crowd.

[*]Bomb defusing: any mini puzzle shall fit.

[*]Jumpy: try to control a malfunctioning jet pack to land you safely… on your feet!

Some more

  • Sith Holocron gatekeeper: the holocron tries to trick a Jedi into doing things... A Sith related quest could be resurrecting a former Sith master only to see him trying to kill the foolish apprentice.
  • Graphitis: specific wall painting that the characters sees in different places or planets. Each being a part of a larger puzzle or plot.
  • Broken "lost" object: lightsaber, tool, etc... with a storyline tied to it. Actively looked after by some people.
  • House, vehicle, space ship door left open with no one nearby: invitation to investigate. Trap or person that left in a hurry?
  • Abnormal but faint vapors, lights, sounds, smells leaking from nearby.

@#%* piece of crap!

Your highly ahem... "customized" space ship just decided to die in the middle of nowhere.

Scanners, engines, gravity, heating and life support system are dead. Even lights are off.

Either using the force or grabbing life support masks you manage to buy you some time...

The good thing is you are being attracted by the nearest huge planet and would soon be placed in orbit. Bad thing is you have no scans of the planet so it might not be habitable. Top of that you only have one working escape pod.

What's your plan:

  • Try to fix the ship?
  • Get you com system back online?
  • Fix the others escape pods so your whole crew could eject?

At some point while fixing stuff you hear a loud BONK on the exterior of the ship hull. Seems some space debris just choose the right time to hit you.

At first it's nothing too serious as the ship integrity hasn't been breached... till you hear some walking/moving sound on the ship hull.

You're going to meet a droid that had been lost in space for a long time. (New compagnion? Assassin droid?)

Later on your scanners get back to life just to announce "Warning imminent collision detected, please change orbit. ETA xx:xx". You can clearly see you're going to hit a moon of the planet.

Precious... stolen! [Jedi/Sith quest]

You awake after an unrestful night only to find out your worst nightmare just took life. Your Lightsaber is missing. All these long hours spent crafting and gathering parts gone, for nothing.

As your quest goes on, the word spreads out. You find others looking at you with an amused smile and hear whisperings.

Even worse you are supposed to meet a saber master that wanted to test your skills. And you need to duel with your saber to be fully efficient.

You might suspect

  • As Jedi: another Palawan
  • As a Sith: another student or even your own master

.../...

In the end depending on your class

  • Jedi: it was your master that asked a Palawan to hide it. To teach you not to rely too much on the glowing stick
  • Sith: a small and very cute creature took the habit of stealing stuff in the compound. If you spared and befriend it, it would lead you to all it's possessions and a very nice Lightsaber crystal

The banquet Smuggler / Spy quest

A crucial summit between the highest members of the Republic and the Empire is taking

place in your city.

The place is in turmoil as the truce between the belligerents is at stake.

Unexpectedly you have been asked to help prepare the banquet.

First you need to find out the favorite meals of theses powerful and mostly inaccessible

persons. You also must discover any food that would offense or harm any of them.

Then as one of the cook's assistant vanished when he learned that one of the Sith lords

recently executed his cook for a negligence, you are sent to gather ingredients.

Finally you come back with (most?) of the food, only to see yourself abandoned by the

cook that had been summoned by the person in charge of the event. Will you take the

challenge to create exotic food for them, or maybe use specific food to drug or poison a

specific race and change the odds?

The fate of the galaxy is in your hands.

Free Taxi ride! BH / Smuggler quest

Your last encounter made you jump through the window of your "host" landing on a garbage collector droid.

Before you were even able to jump out of it, it moved away bringing you down, deep under the city for a night tour.

Obliged to settle down till it stops, you realize not only the bin doesn't stinks that much, but it's full of high tech equipments, far from used.

Intrigued you wonder if your're going to

  • Bug the garbage container to track its movements
  • Hide under the materials and see what's happen next
  • Try to hack the droid

At a point you might even enter a very restricted area that you always dreamed about visiting. Will you jump off the droid to catch this unexpected chance?

Depending on your choices and actions you might find out this buddy is part of a well organized network that, acting undercover, steals equipments, blue prints, move illegal stuff, people and so, around the city and maybe the planet if not more. Just be careful not to end in a ship cargo container without oxygen nor heat...

The Nexus Jedi quest

As a part of your training, or discoveries, you are lead to investigate the rubble of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

The first part of the mission involves finding data and plans of the former temple.

Then you'll have to choose where to start digging to access to tunnels that did not collapse. (A droid companion might help a lot here)

Soon you'll be able to enter very old tunnels and even reach the firsts meditation chambers, on which the temple was built upon a few thousand years ago.

Getting closer to the force nexus would start triggering visions, first peaceful ones then, moving deeper, more violent ones.

Arriving at the exact vertical, were the Jedi leader was killed, would trigger an assault by a Jedi "spirit" that has been corrupted by dark side energies of the recent assault on the temple, trying to take possession of your corpse.

Depending on your actions you would revive the attack either as the Sith Master or the Unknown Jedi leader that was killed.

A few possible outcomes would be

  • Destroy the Jedi "spirit"
  • Free the Jedi "spirit" from the Sith corruption
  • Discover the Jedi wasn't killed but managed to turn himself into a spirit (next quest = awaken/resurrect him)
  • Realize the Jedi had a droid companion and learn the key code to unlock a vital holo recording. (next quest = find the droid)
  • Find a weakness in the Sith that will help you defeat him.

Being so close to a Force Nexus might unlock some (good or bad) latent force powers you had not yet learnt.

In the end, your fight would have triggered a small earthquake making the tunnels collapse, not only burying them once for all but making you run for your life.

Hack'n slash [smuggler/Spy quest]

You have been hired to hack the security system of a military facility. The pay isn't great but you have been jobless for some time and you might be able to put your hands on some juicy intel too.

Usually you don't mess with the military but your contact provided you a security code to a back door system, smoothing up the process.

After some investigation and pulling up some ties in the underground people, you're able to access to a secured terminal and start hacking. Not suprinzingly the code is expired, still you're able to exploit a weakness in the system re-encoding the login key with shell commands.

Time is running out and you have the choice to try download encrypted files while implementing the new back door, still lowering your chances to finish the job.

Just before completing your task a power failure shuts down your terminal, leaving you in an interesting argumentation with the person that gave you access to it.

Tired after your hard day, you decide to get some deserved rest, as the meeting with your client isn't due before a few hours. Either going to your home/ship or to a cantina you have the feeling to be followed at some time.

Later on, entering the agreed place to meed your contact, sill wondering if the insertion was a success and how to bluff if not, you discovershis body neatly sliced in two on the floor. Instinctively reacting to the saber ignition in the dark place, you shoot a barrage fire towards the iridescent light jumping out by the window next to you. Not forgetting to leave a flash bang frag behind you.

At this point there are a few mini games to loose the force user on your trail, like changing clothes, pointing police droids at a dangerous humanoid.

Soon you'll discover the creature that gave you access to the terminal was also slashed in two, and your ship/apartment is under heavy guard by the army (told you never mess with the army!)

For now you have some uncompleted encrypted files in your data pad and someone on your six.

---

The Jedi/Sith encountered isn't responsible for the deaths, he was lead to the place to meet a contact that could help him on an important errand. You arrived just a bit after him. The corpse was already cold when he entered the scene. As such he's really interested in having a few words with you, as is the military police.

The story behind this, is someone used you to make a diversion while hacking some very important files, leading the security to you. Thing is you "accidentally" prevented him from recovering the whole data and the needed parts are in your hands.

The mastermind is a local Hutt that wants to resell the military schematics. An unlucky IT technician who lost too much in his casino was proposed to have his debt erased would he facilitate the access to the system.

Question is what will you do with the files:

  • Give them back to the military?
  • Sell them to the Hutt?
  • Keep them for you?

Search and rescue [Trooper quest]

Contact has been lost with a small commando team sent to infiltrate the enemy lines.

You are sent to localize then guide the evac team if there are survivors.

Shortly after landing you'll discover their abandoned camp. All equipment is there, strangely untouched. Nothing is missing, but the team members themselves. Weapons lays down fully loaded.

While searching around, you encounter a Sith Inquisitor, finishing off the youngest soldier (or what you thought so). The inevitable fight starts... interrupted by strange exotic alien creatures, just before the Sith was about to kill you, leaving you both in a stasis like state.

You are brought to the creatures lair/hideout clueless of your future but not very hopeful, as ultimately bound to some kind of altar.

It seems your only chance to get out (and maybe find survivors) is to team up with the Sith...

Hotfix [Consular quest]

While doing a very difficult diplomatic intervention on a neutral planet you find yourself in a very hard position, about to loose every efforts done to the benefits of the Siths.

Unable to get in touch with your master, you bounce back to your secondary contact, the chief trooper. Due to the emergency and the utter importance of the mission success he agrees to send you some help.

Not long after, a hot (opposite character's sex) creature interrupts a diplomatic meeting, promptly "fixing" non cooperative members with a few blaster shots.

Obviously there was a major misunderstanding leaving you with a worse than ever situation, cumbersome corpses and a grinning BH, that you unwillingly hired, eager to be pointed at the next target.

Offals [Jedi/Consular quest]

Browsing very old archives you found out the gizzard of a rare specie of bird could contain very powerful saber crystals as transformed by the creature itself during decades of "ingestion".

After some long researches you finally face one of the (last?) creatures. Your force sense is flooding you with the power irradiated by the crystal in the beast.

  • Do you kill it to get the crystal and become more powerful against the Siths, doing so maybe extinguishing the race?
  • Do you let it live and maybe have it fall in the hands of your ennemies?
  • Do you capture it and hide it in an unknown remote location, that no archives points at?.

One will be displeased! [imperial Agent quest]

One of the most notorious Jedi Consular has been captured by a powerful Sith Lord from the inner circle of the emperor.

Summoned by your superior he explains that, so far, the interrogation process has been a disaster leaving the Ithorian half dead.

He wants you to step in and make sure the consular gives valuable intel before eventually passing out.

On your way to the prison quarters you stumble upon a civilian, realizing a bit later he purposely bumped into you and left a message in your pocket.

The short, old fashioned, hand written message, that's consumed a few seconds after opening it, asks you to to extirpate the consular from the Sith hands.

You are on your own and would certainly be put to death if discovered.

Usually you would advise your superior, but something in the message, you can't pinpoint at, restrains you from immediately doing so. Maybe it's the strange glyphs or the slyle of the writing.

What path will you take:

  • Manage to get the Jedi killed (why not by angering the Sith Lord): you have your own agenda
  • Make sure to question the Consular extensively and/not report your findings
  • Organize an escape

Behind the scenes:

The emperor wants the Jedi to be freed, not only to weaken the Sith Lord, but also to give confidence to the Jedi. Ccontrary to what he displays, he's really annoyed by the capture as this pawn has been removed from the chess board.

You have been chosen as the perfect tool for the mission as disposable, but also rising in interest in the emperor view. While weak, you might be a handy tool finally.

=============================================================

Holidays Trip! [imperial Agent quest]

You have been captured by the alliance (more accurately what they think).

With the right actions and a some well put answers at your trial you afford to be transported to the Republic most secret and secure prison. Depending on how "good" you were, you end either in first class (read: xxx tight security,) up to lowbie (read: annoying but manageable pest).

Once infiltrated your goal is to

  • Map the surroundings
  • Activate a beacon / send a distress signal
  • Help coordinating the assault of the place by the Empire troops
  • Evac before even being seen by your troops.

So far so good till, at some point, you encounter/notice a top ranked Inquisitor Lord being detained. You know she's on the emperor's short list and her liberation would certainly put a good note in your file. Thing is she's so injured/mentally_damaged that she might be more of a huge burden than anything else.

Once you're about to set your carefully designed plan in action, maybe with the "help" of some locals (prisoners and why not guards), an unexpected inspection occurs, being leaded by nobody else than the #2 most wanted Jedi Consular.

At this point you might have to choose between:

  • Killing or more difficult capturing the Jedi
  • Saving the Sith.. or killing it so the can't leak valuable infos, helping the war effort
  • Having the prison located and captured by the Empire.

First class ticket ride... [imperial Agent quest]

Your last mission was quite a disaster. Very much displeased, your superior demoted you to the worst possible planet to relieve the actual agent from his functions. Your orders are clear you have to eliminate the agent.

At your arrival you meet the agent. He looks like a totally worn out Advozse on spice. After a mostly incomprehensible conversation, you can decide to kill him or not.

Then his comlink starts emitting a blip indicating a message. An informant sent a lead about some thugs smuggling weapons, from supposedly republic commandos, to local insurgents. This could be your ticket back to a "normal" life and better worlds.

Leaving the unanimated body of the agent behind (either dead or comatose), you start moving towards the city docks...

Behind the scene:

  • The Advozse is just a decoy set by the actual Agent which is in fact a very smart Bothan playing a double game with the Republic. Even his superior didn't knew he's a Bothan as he never saw him personally.
  • The comlink is indeed the Agent's one, some kind of needed proof of his "identity"
  • The smuggling operation is part of a Republic large scale scenario to take back the planet from the Empire
  • Deciding to kill or not the Advozse will have a dramatic impact on the Agent's faction alignment. He's in fact the cousin of the local most ruthless and powerful Thug.
  • Later on you discover the real identity of the Agent, killing him or not will also have a great impact in the future. If you don't, he might be of great help later on. But if don't report it you don't think your boss is stupid either...

Betrayal [imperial Agent quest]

You are part of a small commando squad (3 others players & companions) making up your path to the command bridge, to help the capture of a flagship during an epic space battle

At a point during a very hot fight you receive a short message asking you to separate from your companions and follow a more vital objective.

The mission is of the highest priority and it has to be kept secret at all costs. The resistance is overwhelming and from the current situation, if you leave your companions now, you think their best luck would be to be captured.

A hacked door just opens next to you (thanks to the secret agent remote support team), then starting to close again. There's only time for a single person to rush through it. Will you jump in?

Behind the scene:

  • The main idea is to remove the agent from the group giving the impression he left/betrayed them. As such group chat and tells won't work for the agent for the duration of the side quest mission; at least between each group members and the agent. Can't kick off from group either ;)
  • To spice up the mission, the agent will still get messages about how bad are doing his team mates.
  • Not accepting the mission shall fail it, making the capture of the bridge easier and faster.
  • Accepting the mission, will make the flag ship able to flee warping into space with the captured companions. Then there would be a dramatic/heroic intervention from the Agent liberating his companions. Depending on the group actions/success the ending could be all the squad leaving the ship or heroically capturing the ship alone.

The rock that shined too much [imperial Agent quest]

A neutral planet inhabited by a peaceful population led by a beloved leader.

The discovery of rare resources, located near a sacred sanctuary.

The Hutts taking notice.

The Republic hyperspace route being threatened/endangered.

The Sith sending a delegation

Struggles with a minority specie awakened.

Possible paths

  • Act on some of the government members buy/blackmail/threaten them
  • Ferment a riot assassinate/kidnap the prime minister
  • Arm the minority, organize a revolution
  • Kill the Sith envoy and accuse the Republic

=============================================================

For the Empire! [imperial space sim quest]

Your fleet commander requests you to escort a shuttle safely to a secret destination.

A bit after taking off, an encrypted one way message coming from Dromund Kaas displays a blurry/low quality image of the emperor closest agent. He's requesting you to destroy the shuttle at all costs.

You learn during the message that your exploits have been reaching the ears of the emperor and your success in this mission would help the empire greatly and highly please him.

You will be ambushed by a group from the alliance then smugglers then mercenaries hired by the hutts.

==> Will you do it?

Behind the scene:

  • The message isn't from the emperor but from a cover agent working for the Republic. Still until further down the road (missions later)you won't know you have been working for the other side
  • The best imperial agent is tracking the mole and knows you are being tricked
  • Depending your choices you might be obliged to kill all imperials protecting the convoy.
  • Until the very end you don't know if there was really something/someone important in that shuttle or if it was just a decoy.

The main idead behind this quest is to bring back Tie-Fighter double edged missions type in TOR. Whatever you do you might very well fail the mission for one side and suceeding for both not only need guts but also a good 6th sense.
