Anyone else finding the consular story...very dry?

This is a problem that I have with the Consular story as well as the Bounty Hunter story (and maybe other classes I haven't played yet) -- the story plays out more like a list of repeated tasks you have to perform instead of a flowing story-line. For the Consular you have to "heal" a Jedi Master on each planet you visit. For the Bounty Hunter, you have to kill a target on each planet you visit (makes sense for that class, but still). Even though the details are different each time, it feels like I'm essentially doing the same thing over and over again on each planet.

It's only like this for the first chapter of the Consular story, however. It does get better with chapter 2.

By contrast, when I played the Imp Agent story-line, I never knew what I was going to get involved with each time I visited a new planet. It never felt like just another variation on something I did previously. There was always a new twist or turn in the story-line.

That's what I've been hearing about consular story. Apparently the Empire mirror Inquisitor's story on the other hand is one of the best for both LS and DS players.

I love it. The Consular is about solving problems, learning, lore, forming alliances. Yeah, it's not the straight up adventure story Jedi usually get. It's the Obi-Wan fantasy instead.

It actually seems to be a bit of a joke at some points, with some of the dialogue options referring to guilt-trips and self-sufficiency. Some characters even "claim" partial credit for your heroism, while they in fact did nothing at all, other than to ask you to do it for them. Such is the life of a Jedi, i guess... doing everything "normal" people can't do for themselves.

I would definitely say it's a story that will most likely be most enjoyed from a particular perspective and mindset.

edit: i will add, it seems more drama-oriented, rather than action-packed. That said... lvl 14 is no time to decide anything about any of the class-stories. You've just scratched the surface at that point. I mean... you JUST got sprint. You don't even have your ship. You have no idea what's going on! (which was the single factor that ended up compelling me to respond at all) lol.
While one could argue that some of the stuff people couldn't do themselves, but there seems to be a lot (not just in the Consular story arc) where it's a matter of people won't do for themselves.
