From the Desk of the Dark Council
Korriban Academy, Korriban
15 ATC

It has come to our attention that in the years following the sacking of Coruscant that you have had struggles and economic disturbances which have put great strain on the once great Galactic Republic and as such a massive issue with population migration and overall strains on your operational capability are evident.

We would like to express our concerns and condolences over this state of affairs. And would like to at this time simply say that you have our gravest apologies, in this time of trial, and we recognize your current plight and struggle.

It is with our sincerest apologies that we must say the heroes and combatants of your glorious Republic just, simply, are not cool, in any way. They are, unfortunately, so not cool, that to be any less cool they would become cool for being so uncool. This is not something we have any direct control over, and if we did, Imperial Intelligence would already be hard at work behind the scenes on many Republic worlds, doing our best to make your heroes cooler, simply because fighting badly dressed, ill trained, cliche spouting stereo-types is a horrible waste of the time of our Empire's best and brightest, who are, without a doubt, far cooler than any cream of the crop the Republic appears to be able to offer.

The Emperor informs us that this is the expected state of affairs at this time, but not to worry, citizens of the Galactic Republic, things will get better for you in due time, and he also mentioned that you might want to start looking around for someone named Skywalker and ensure they're quietly protected and taken care of for a fair amount of time...whatever that may mean, we do not know, the mind of the Emperor is a difficult thing to grasp even for the most accomplished members of this Council. Perhaps this "Skywalker" is destined to bring coolness back to the Republic.

Again, our condolences,
Darth Ravage

Hello everyone,

The previous version of this thread exceeded our threshold for maximum thread length, so we have recreated it here to continue the conversation! Enjoy!

Someone needs to ask this dev to split the thread where the role play started instead of the first post, its completely different from what it began as >.<

*edit omg I'm so tired*
/goes off to find an actual page to request

Will they do this if I send a umm tell or request or bug form, or b**ching letter? I'd rather go to bed if it wont do any good.

I made the last post before the dev, guess that means my character shot lightning which killed the thread.

Anyway, as this is a new thread, as someone mentioned earlier, as this is technically a play-by-play RP

(ooc: DrFumblez helped me a lot with writing this one, I couldn't get it started).

Nar Shaddaa

Raii and Doc sat quietly at a booth, both disguised in smuggler outfits, although, Raii kept his lightsaber ready to grab at anytime. Doc drank from his cup, but Raii ignored his, preferring to keep an eye out for the Sith. At last, he saw her. Kovrai was wearing a bounty hunter's outfit, the form-fitting armor accentuating her body's features. Zhara was following behind in a smuggler's outfit, black googles covering her face. At the sight of Doc, she smiled and rushed over to where he was, Kovrai stopped where she was standing. She motioned for Raii to step away from the two, and Raii grimaced as his exhausted body made it's way to her.

"They make a cute couple" Raii stated nonchalantly, sliding into one of the booths farther back, ensuring privacy. "And you kept your word. Not bad...for a Sith."

"Yes they are," Kovrai replied with a faint smile directed at the cuddling, reunited lovers, "but love is a lie, it weakens you."

"You might change your mind if you ever loved anyone but yourself, Sith." Raii said tiredly.

Kovrai turned suddenly motionless, her mind reliving the moment that taught her the weakness of love, of young Malavai's betrayal. Her mouth parted as if she were going to speak from the fog of her memory...but then her eyes narrowed in anger at Raii as she remembered what she spoke with.

"Love! You know nothing of it either."

"I suggest that you don't repeat the words you spoke at the Academy," Raii warned as green swirls of light began to flicker faintly around his hand. "Kira loves me, and I her."

Kovrai slashed her hand through the air in a negating motion, "I don't speak of Kira, I speak of you, Raii."

"What?!" Raii exhaled.

"You intercepted a correspondence I sent to Darth Isaac, when I wrote of how hiding your love as if it were unclean twisted it, and made it into something shameful. Did you just consider yourself and then dismiss my words, did you bother to look at Kira, and see if they were true for her? I saw her face in the footage from Tython, saw her turn on you, saw you plead with her; she never even heard you. I know how closely a Master watches over the mental state of their Padawan, I find it hard to believe you missed such a thing.

Was she even ready to become a full Jedi, or were you blinded by the need to excise your own guilt at having such a relationship with your charge, by your own need to see her as an equal so you could explore your 'love'. It was you who sowed the seeds of this darkness within her, Jedi!" Kovrai hissed, impassioned by her attack.

"She accepted who I am, Sith! She is the only one who has ever seen me as just Raii, not as Master Raii, Hero of the Jedi Order! We were always equals, regardless of what the Council said about ranks! If I didn't believe she was ready to be a Knight, I wouldn't have made her one, regardless of my feelings for her." Raii turned away, visibly controlling himself.

"And yet, look what has happened, she turned on you when you chose your duty over her wants. Not consciously, no" Kovrai hurriedly interjected as Raii's eyes turned cold, "but in a mental fog of anguished disassociation. You may be ready for what we face, but clearly, she is not. What will you do the next time you have to choose between her and the Galaxy's fate, Jedi Raii, when you see the tears falling down her beautiful, tragic face. Will you betray her, or will you betray us all?"

Raii sat quietly for a moment, composed, revealing nothing of his thoughts to Kovrai, until he answered with a calm, measured certainty "I will do my duty as I always have, and so will she" Raii's eyes became ice "I have warned you about speaking to me of Kira, I will not do it again. You are quick to judge for your own agenda, but have you faced judgement yourself?"

With an impassive, unyielding face, Raii gripped Kovrai's mind tightly. She was held rigid by the physical torture, and she flushed with effort as she strained to resist it; and yet, that pain brushed her skin with the softest glove compared to the razor talons that raked her mind. Raii tore through the layers of rationalizations and lies Kovrai told to herself, and laid bare her own nature. He forced her to look upon herself, every selfish cruelty and twisted lie told to destroy another, all the evil she had committed or still lusted to obtain, displayed for the both of them to see.

Raii spoke sternly and without inflection as he held her mind open "You are empty, your own evil will never fill you, Kovrai. You search, but you will never find what you seek until you reject the lies of the Sith." Raii channeled the force into Kovrai, setting aside all emotion so he could act, and he soothed the pain he had caused. He drew upon the light and peace of the Jedi Code to fill the emptiness within her, and released his hold on her mind.

"Don't project your past onto me, Sith. Kira and I are nothing like you and Malavai. We have all the strength we need, togeather." Raii spoke quietly, before walking away.

Kovrai trembled with rage at what Raii had done, rage and fear; fear of facing his judgement again. It quickly washed away the peace he had dared to touch her with, peace she vowed she would never allow herself to know again.

Haha, Nox's evil could no longer be contained in one thread, it was pretty epic actually that your meeting got the last post.

FROM THE DESK OF DARTH MORTIS, DARK COUNCILOR

Darth Kovrai and Apprentice Feras,

On behalf of the Dark Council, I wish to apologize for the behavior of Darths Marr, Nox, and Proventus, especially the latter two. It was wrong of Nox to attack Feras without consulting us first as it was wrong for Proventus to sufficiently incite a fight. Rest assured, if either of them pull something like that again in a civil council meeting, they risk a demotion. I spoke with Nox recently, she takes full responsibility for her actions. I, on the other hand, enclosed a thousand credits for damages. It's the least I can do.

With that being said, until the air clears up a bit on these allegations, I stand by my previous advisory for you two to stay away from Korriban and Dromund Kaas. Nox and Proventus are not the only ones that suspect Feras of being a Jedi, and it would be wise to not instigate this matter further.

With apologies,

Darth Mortis

I think that meeting was one of the coolest bits so far, and easily worth the time, had we postponed it further (I'm sorry that I helped rush that). The twist you made at the end, and getting Kovrai and Proventus out of a situation that would have ended in the death of one, was way more clever then anything I had managed to halfway formulate. I have never participated in a thread like this, or any kind of actual role play with others (not to any real extent), and it has been so incredibly fun for me. The fact that it's set in the Star Wars EU is so much icing on the cake that it would make me sick if could actually eat it.

Also, I know there's a bit of a reality dysfunction around Kovrai claiming a past with Malavai, but Raii has had to share his companions, so it's only fair that Isaac does too! ;p I think his betrayal makes him quite a bit more central to a female SW's plot if they followed the romance arc with him, as (I feel) his contempt for the SW's skills during the betrayal (which Bioware makes a point of stating outright) pretty much invalidates the silver tongued declarations of admiration and love he was making all along. Since I have placed Kovrai's time-line 8 to 10 years before most, she long past sent him back to serve her former Master Baras, whom she cut all ties with. (Killing Baras is one reason she respects Isaac's skills so much).

OOC: Don't worry about it. Now time for Nox's trip to Nar Shaddaa.

Korriban Orbital Station

Having just emerged from a reprimand at the hands of Darth Mortis for brashly attacking Darth Kovrai and her apprentice, Darth Nox plans to head back to her ship, as she has business on Nar Shaddaa with her cult and her new Hutt ally, Dragga the Hutt. While Nox was not killed or removed from the Dark Council, Mortis made it clear that he has his eye on everyone. Korriban is now on a Besh level warning since Nox and Mortis restored order in the Academy, but everyone is still vigilant.

"Meh, back to Nar Shaddaa..."

As Nox takes the turbolift into her personal hangar, where she spots Darth Marr.

"What do you want this time, Marr?"

"Well, considering that you are currently on thin ice with everyone else, Nox, I thought it was time I demanded a favor," Marr answered coldly.

"And why would I do that?"

"You do want to maintain your good standing with the rest of the council and the Emperor, no? Believe me, if more councilors were in the chamber last night, you would have lost allies."

"You sounded fairly harsh yourself," Nox retorted

"I did not attack anyone though," Marr rebutted. "Anyway, down to business. The Jedi stole my ship heading out of here. I traced my ship's location to Nar Shaddaa. I understand you have business there. All I'm demanding is that you give me a lift there. I will find my ship. It's not that much to ask."

"In exchange, I want my record clean."

"I will look into it, but I do not make promises," Marr answered.

"Fine. My pilot's making takeoff arrangements. You get the guest quarters."

"As is proper," Marr stated. With that said, two imperial guards escort the councilors onto the ship.

The Defiler, en route to Nar Shaddaa

"Course set for Nar Shaddaa, princess," Andronikos flirted, to which Nox replies by giggling. Darth Marr joins Nox when she steps into the main room and sits on the sofa. Suddenly, the refresher flushes and out comes Khem Val, followed by a pungent scent.

"Khem, we have a *guest*, close the kriffing dooor," Nox reprimanded with Marr trying not to laugh.

"Anyway, Nox, you mentioned in Mortis' office that you saw a vision before you attacked Feras. What was the vision?" Marr asked casually.

Nox looks around for others but Khem, then talks, "I saw two visions. When you began your accusation, I dived into the Force, sensing force signatures yet not seeing them. I sifted through the Dark ones and found only one light one, which I felt in front of me. That happened to be where Feras was located. The other one was merely Feras and the other acolyte fighting alongside Master Raii, fighting you, me, and finally, the Emperor. The vision did not show the result of the battles, but did serve to confirm my suspicion."

"While some visions are accurate," Marr began, "others are not. You would do well to determine the right from wrong. When we finish this investigation, we will know if you were right or wrong. Now if you excuse me, it's been a long day," Marr finished as he goes into the guest quarters and locks the door behind him. Nox proceeds to her quarters and then falls asleep, later joined by Andronikos. Ashara pilots the ship in this graveyard shift.

8 hours later

Nox and Marr are the first ones up, followed by Andronikos, who kicks Ashara off the flight controls.

"We have arrived at Nar Shaddaa after a good night's sleep. Not bad, Ashara," Andronikos praised, "Still not my caliber yet."

"No one is your caliber. You are simply the best," Nox added, with Marr just watching impassively.

As Nox prepares to head out, Marr is seen tapping in a holocom code into the holoterminal.

"Coming, Lord Marr?"

"I need to contact the Wrath. I will use your ship as my base for now, as we agreed earlier," Marr replied rashly

"Fine, I'll meet you later," Nox stated disdainfully as she exits, gets on her speeder, and heads towards her base on Nar Shaddaa. The crew assumes watch role on Marr, who begins to contact Darth Issac.

"Wrath, this is Darth Marr. Do you copy?"

OOC: Yep, Nox pulled a Lord Scourge last night, and I added a bit of comic relief no less.

As before, Marr is anyone's character. Whoever uses him to talk to Issac, he's contacting Issac to ask him about the Korriban escape and demanding Issac help him get his ship back.
