Are you seeing new people or new characters?

On Dreshdae Cantina, Republic side, the fleet population has been pretty steady at 80-100 people each evening. You would think that population would go up a bit as people hit level 50. I've also noticed that the population spread per planet didn't change much when I leveled my second toon. There was a serious drop in world populations starting at Balmorra. That has been pretty consistent from my first level 50. It's like people finish act 1 and decide to try a different class.
Ray Muzyka: "When you deliver a game, and you deliver it for a player, you have to capture what they think is the possibility space."

Ray, you failed to deliver my possibility space.

Woops this is the population change index numbers sort descending Change (week before) you will see a greater value in population loss than growth and this repeats weekly.

Apology: Sorry, Master. My optical sensors simply pick up all the water sloshing about inside your flesh coating. It is... unpleasant.

Absolutely, it seems like every day this month there's been a press release to announce a new population milestone.

Not wanting satisfaction, just got home from work and clearly this thread states the population is GROWING didn't want someone to be mislead. I was just stating they should merge the servers.

Its amazing how people use those graphs to put a bullet in the game but don't say a darn thing when those same graphs show that the game is not doing as bad as they claim.
Those numbers are for concurrent logins (players at one time) when you compare that to Wow is about a THIRD

Here is a chart

BW doesn't give them anything to plug into (proprietary thanks to EA) so their numbers won't be real. At least not until BW let's them in. And if they're going off the server status info, those thresholds change constantly. It's a moving target.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

Ya you are wasting your time trying to show them anything good or bad. I showed charts and population differences and they are just mad to see the facts. Ya SWTOR is doing great compared to rift or any other mmo but WOW sadly eats up all mmo player population. You also have to take account that they have over 500 servers with average 1k vs. tor's 200+ servers with 300 server pop hourly. They just can't see it if it hit them in the face.

PS: Thanks for the links WhiskyJax maybe the blind can read these easier

I'd say my server "swiftsure" is going down... Our aussies are preparing to transfer and leave for their new servers, so our population is about to be cut in half...

Fun fact: Blind people can't read text on the internet.
