The last bits of daylight seeped into the Temple of the Ancients. From the dark labyrinth that was the laboratory of Darth Mainyu, the only window to the outside world was a small square hole on the wall that let in a single beam of light shine on Mainyu's work station.

He was close now. From a very young age, the inner workings of the mind always held a special fascination to him. To anyone else, this would be nothing more than a mild curiosity. For Mainyu, this is a morbid obsession. Screams of agony were a common sounds down here. But today, The Sith Lord's latest victim wasn't quite fit to do much of anything.

A lone overhead light shined over the operating table where Mainyu's victim well restrained. A bounty hunter that was caught snooping around the Temple. Electrodes and sensors were attached to his head, and fed into several large computers to the side of the table, monitoring his brainwaves carefully. Darth Mainyu hovered over to his prisoner, like a Tukata hovering over his prey. He held up a syringe. Mainyu studied the green liquid inquisitively, lightly tapping the side of the vial, to let loose some of the excess air. Mainyu then licked his lips and injected the elixir into the arm of his "patient".

The prisoner started to convulse, lightly at first, then violently. Mainyu smiled like a child as he turned his attention toward the computer. As expected, the victim's mind was resisting the Sith's attempt to break his mind. For all of five seconds, it seemed to work. Then the alarms began to ring. It was too much, The bounty hunter was having a stroke.

Mainyu didn't even try to stabilize him. His experiment was a failure. The experiment was meant to break past the barriers that the mind puts up. Knowing that the bounty hunter's mind was too weak, he used a cocktail of drugs to increase his mental capacity artificially. Mainyu thought that the bounty hunter's mind could at least be as strong as a Jedi's. A solution that can break past Jedi mind blocks could be very useful to the Sith indeed. So far, Mainyu thought he was close, but it just wasn't enough. Pushing away from the desk, he glanced over the corpse of the bounty hunter. He scuffed and started to pull the sheets over the corpse.

"He's Cute," Trisskar said from the shadows. His failure blinded Mainyu to her presence.

Mainyu rested his hands on the table and looked down, "He's a failure." His frustrations culminated in him slamming his fist on the operating table.

After a moment of silence, Triss spoke up. " He's human" she grunted "but then most races are just as, if not more so...failures."

"Human or not, " Mainyu explained, "The problem is that this sort of trash lacks the mental capacity that I required for my experiments. I need something Stronger, Something more comparable to our enemy.""

Finally, his mind was at ease again. Enough for Mainyu to feel the uneasiness emanating from Triss. Obviously he sent the wrong signal, he decided to quiet her fears.

Mainyu smiled the warm smile he showed when they first met, " Do you honestly think that I would do anything to damage you like that, My Triss ?"

He stretched his hand and traced her jaw with his hand, and she embraced it like a kitten wanting to be petted. " "If you were to ask it of me, I would naturally do so without hesitation" She confirmed before allowing herself to grin somewhat bashfully "But in all honesty I am grateful for your... kindness."

"I know you would. But you are my Apprentice, to me You are above being a lowly lab rat, that's why I chose you." Mainyu responded, meaning every word.

Triss nodded "Thank you, Master" she purred softly in response to his compliment.

Mainyu then walked off to another table and started to input what little data he received from this failure. " Well now, I'm sure you didn't come down here so that I could make you blush.. "

Triss sighed with a soft rumbling growl "I just came from my post at communications" she obviously sounded like she had just left a lecture from some high tech school, eyes blood shot, and mind practically mush "And I think we got something....interesting"

"Oh ?" Mainyu said adding equations in his data pad, " The council finally Declare War On the Republic again ? "

The Sith Lord didn't notice the slight smile curving at the corner of Triss's lips "In my mind we have already been at war Master, cant declare the start of something if it is already started"

That made Mainyu smile, " Ata Girl, More Sith think like that and we'll have the entire Galaxy."

Triss smiled, before jumping back into her report. It seems that the Onderon was in some sort of civil war, Pro-Republic and Pro-Sith Forces Clash on the streets.

Interesting, Mainyu thought. He set down his datapad and thought about of for a moment, "Hmm... Sounds like a Jedi's doing.."

Triss's emotion remained hard as a shell as she tilted her head to the side "Jedi?"

"No Ordinary, Homegrown rebellion is able to stand up to a fully armed Sith Battleship, they must've had Help." Mainyu responded, knowing that the Imperial troops stationed there wouldn't take it lying down.

Triss sighed "Forgive me Master, but, for what purpose would a Jedi get involved? they are to busy licking wounds then to deal with minor brawls ?"

Mainyu paced the floor, his hand up to his chin, " "The Jedi could be trying to destabilize key regions of space, so they can clear the way for an attack."

Triss chewed on her lower lip some in thought. Her Master was far better with these military tactics, so she didn't dare think otherwise "I submit to your wisdom here" she said with a smile "So if it is Jedi, what does that mean for us?" Mainyu smiled evilly,

"Fresh Test Subjects."

Triss blinked, the way her Master said that she felt as if a chill had trickled down her spine, she almost feared to ask the next obvious question "What are your orders?"

The Sith Lord turned to her and said, ""Get the Ship ready for launch, We leave tomorrow."

Triss nods her head slightly "Of course Master" her eyes shone with the prospect of another adventure

Triss left the lab with a quick walk to an almost jog or run. She wanted to get as far away from that cold and horrid place as soon as she possibly could. It was only when she reached the main levels of the academy that she slowed to a more casual walk, robes wisping out behind her to stirr up dust and sand that culminated on the ancient stones.

This was going to be interesting, This would be the first Mission in partnership with her Master since that fateful day on Korriban. She was both excited and fearful about this idea. Was she good enough? Would she be able to perform adequately? It was like taking a very important and life changing test with your teacher standing over your shoulder, snickering at each mistake you made, and humming annoyingly when ever you made an accurate entry.

Triss stepped up the ramp to her precious ship, It's hull was re-painted to a black tint making it difficult to see in the backgrounds of space, which is where it got its name “Kage-Maru” Shadows. However inside it was very different from the general silver gray color. Instead it was open, painted in whites and blue's of the republic. The large republican symbol painted boldly on the entry wall, a stark reminder of how she had retrieved the ship. Fingers trailing across the logo Triss made her way to the captains hold

“T4 prepare kage for launch, we leave in a couple hours”

Triss slumped down into her large meditation chair, spinning it around to the main controls

“Good morning, Kage”

Triss purred as she reached her fingers out inputing the coordinates to their destination.

“Good morning Mistress Vander”

The soft metallic voice chimed out, it's cheery and lively voice greeting her in turn.

“Kage scan all systems, and show the results up on the main screen” She commanded absent mindedly as she pulled up Onderons history on one of the smaller screens, plugging in her data pad to upload the information for future study.

“Another Adventure hmm?”

A small voice whispered at the back of her thoughts, the slinky body of a ferret clawed his way up onto the arms chair, his large bushy tail, wrapping around it's paws as it studied Triss

“Yip, This time Master will be joining us”

Triss commented, flinching slightly as she spun around to look at her little companion Tails. Lord Mainyu had greeted Triss's companion by blocking his own mind off to the little critter, showing nothing but indifference to the creature. Tails, fur bristled at the mention of her Master, the little rodent not at all pleased with the idea

“Oh Tails, it wont be that bad.” Triss smiled “Besides, this is our chance to show how well we do together as a team”

Tails ears seemed to perk up, Triss assumed tails liked the idea that she included him as part of the 'team'

She had arrived without much difficulty. Even in the midst of war, there were always those willing to negotiate. The trick was in knowing what coin to use.

Seren found credits to be such trivial things. She preferred to deal in favors. No matter the being, no matter the allegiance, they always had a price. Smugglers needed safe passage into certain areas, and Seren could provide that. The price was that when she chose to call on them, her destination became their destination. If they refused, they would find themselves on the wrong side of Imperial law. Bounty hunters needed a livelihood, and staying on the good side of Seren’s liege lord ensured they would have a steady income. In return, they would be loyal, or they would find themselves with a bounty on their own head. Spies liked to be paid in secrets, and Seren reveled in such things… at a cost. The identity of a spy was a very valuable jewel in her hoard of secrets.

“How did you get here?” The man held a rifle up at her, his tone demanding. “Who are you?”

“It isn’t important how I got here or who I am. However, what I am is a possible ally,” Seren said, her voice smooth and low behind her veil. The veil fit with upper-class Onderonian fashion, a useful disguise. At the same time, it allowed the woman to hide her features. “Like you, I believe Onderon should be free of the overlord that would shackle her.”

If a Force-user was present, they would sense the truth in her words. Seren rarely lied. She had learned the value of truth from a skilled teacher of the diplomatic arts.

“You need supplies. You need allies. You need intelligence information. You need to know how to sabotage your enemies. I can give you these things,” Seren continued, her voice impeccably calm. “We both know the Republic cannot aid you… not to the extent you need. And we both know you cannot do this task alone.”

Again, all completely void of deception. And a terribly tempting offer, especially to a weakened rebellion. They were hurting. Her offer was like dangling a reward tantalizingly in front of a hungry beast.

The guard paused, as if listening. There was an earpiece wedged in his ear, and the man’s datapad was blinking. Seren’s offer had undoubtedly reached other ears. She had hoped it would.

“How do we know we can trust you?” the guard asked finally.

“You don’t. But if you don’t take this chance, this futile civil war will continue and none will benefit from it,” she answered. “But I will say that our goals are the same. I want your endeavor to succeed.”

Again, the truth.

“It sounds too good to be true,” the guard said.

Seren was aware that she was no longer speaking to this guard. He was simply a mouthpiece. His leader, whoever that might be, was speaking by proxy through this common guard.

“I will not lie,” Seren cautioned. “If this succeeds, I will require something from you in return. Still, while I will not speak of my terms until I know you are willing to work with me, I can assure you my price will not require your property or the lives of your people.”

There was a pause. Undoubtedly this proxy was listening to his master’s instructions.

“He won't agree to anything yet,” the guard said finally. “But I’m to take you to base. Will you come with me?”

"Of course." Seren smiled behind her veil. That he had agreed to speak with her at all was a victory. No matter the being, no matter the allegiance, they always had a price.

Bargaining was a means to an end. These rebels would assist her in her goal.

She was here to cull.

The two most essential foundations for any state, Seren knew, were robust laws and strong military forces. A self-sufficient lord was one who could both meet any enemy on the battlefield, and was able to impose his own law on his people. However, a lord that relied on fortifications or on the help of others was not self-sufficient. The lord whose territory Onderon fell under tried to control too large an area, and his armies were scattered. He relied on defense, and he could not enforce his own laws. This made him vulnerable.

He had also made the error of crossing Seren’s liege.

Seren was sent here to ensure that weaknesses were exposed. It was a dangerous game. If the Emperor discovered what her lord intended, Seren’s life might be forfeit. Her liege would not fall for her actions, and she did not expect him to. But the rewards of success…! A slow smile stretched across Seren’s lips at the thought. Such delicious victory.

Still, it was too early to hope for it. She must be cautious. She must be patient. And she must be subtle.

Her work brought to mind a species of canids. They would seek, stalk, and identify a target from among the herdbeasts they hunted. Once the target was chosen, the canid worked to separate it from the group. The target was then hounded and driven, continuously and without mercy, until it either fell behind or separated itself in a panic. And once separated, the target was usually torn apart by the rest of the pack.

Her work was the work of wolves.

Lehon indeed looks wonderful from space. Throughout his travels, Mainyu never once paused to give it a passing glance. Most likely because for the most part, he was the one piloting the ship. For the past few years, Triss has gotten much better at piloting a ship. The auto-pilot being her constant friend. Today however, was the first time he trusted her enough to give her full control of the ship. Mainyu himself remained in one of the crew quarters, peering out the window.

It has been awhile since he just stared at the stars. He didn't like to usually. A Sith Lord shouldn't feel small. Yet, he found it easy to get lost in the endless sheet of stars. Soon, Lehon disappeared from view. Soon after, the stars streaked as the ship entered hyperspace. Casually the Sith stood up, and made hi way to the main hold.

Mainyu found a spot on the floor and sat down, crossing his legs. Lowing his eyes and head, he cleared his mind and fell into the dark crevices of the Force. Triss should be coming this way shortly. Ever since that day a few years back when she tortured a Republic soldier, he was determined to bring that fire to the surface. During their training sessions, Mainyu would try to bring it out, all his efforts were met with frustration rather than anger. Today would be different. Perhaps it was the time to take a more direct approach.

Soon enough, Triss appeared. Standing in the doorway she informed him of their trajectory and the estimated time of arrival. Mainyu slowly opened his eyes and raised his head. "Sit," He asked in a calm voice. She did so.

"Close your eyes, focus on the sound of my voice " He instructed, "Listen to the life behind each breath."

After a silence, Mainyu continued; "Bridge the distance between our minds." In his minds eye, he could feel their thoughts intertwining. Triss trying to make sense of what she sees. "Anger, hate, passion, drop your restraints, let it all go." As much as she may have wanted to go along with his wishes, her mind kept the fire within her locked away.

He pushed forward, like a thief in the night he went from door to door, thought to thought, unlocking each as he went along. Her mind was now a explosion of emotion, all fighting with each other for dominance. Triss was trying hard to make some sense of what was going on, Mainyu's presence reassuring her. Finally, Mainyu felt he opened the right door. Like a blazing inferno it swept across Triss's mind, nearly consuming Mainyu.

As he came about, He looked at his apprentice seeing only a primal fire in her eyes. She was already standing, Mainyu stood as well, Her head was almost as his chest. " At last, You've come out of hiding."

She didn't look him in the eye, Her head was tilted downward with her fiery eyes pointed to the floor, completely oblivious to her master's icy glaze. The girl's breathing was now heavy and hard. The only sounds coming from her lips was a faint yet primal growl.
"Not quite there yet are we ?" He mused as he walked back several steps. " Perhaps all you need is a little....push."

Waves of Force energy filled his hand, ready to fly through the air and push his apprentice. He held his hand out toward her. Just then, the girl's head tilted up, ever so slightly. The beast met her enemy face to face. Mainyu's eyes grew large.

Was he... afraid ?

Whatever emotion gripped his heart, it was enough to make his hand quiver enough that the wave of force energy only brushed past his target, hitting her on the shoulder jolting her back slightly.

It was all that was needed.

The beast lunged forward, growling and snarling. The Sith didn't even have time to react as the weak emotion only then started to fade from his heart. They were thrown back several feet into the table and chairs, causing several overhead shelves to collapse on top of them.

She had him pinned, Mainyu struggled as best he could but somehow she was stronger than him. This went far beyond just a mere struggle to survive. She was unleashing the raw power of the dark side in it's purest form. In this state, Mainyu was no match for her, and he knew it Trying to shove her off him only seemed to get her more feral. Her growling and snarling growing ever louder as he struggled. He could feel her hands on his neck. She was no longer trying to merely choke him. The beast was trying to tear his neck right out.

For the first time in a long time, Mainyu felt completely helpless. Like a child, his destiny is out of his hands. Until, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a syringe on the floor. He didn't exactly know what was in it, nor did he care. It was either reach for it, or die. He extended his hand and was able to call it to his hand with the force. Then suddenly and violently, thrusted it in her neck. So hard that she fell off of him. It was over

He collected his breath, and looked at the label on the syringe. A sedative, a mild sedative. He breathed a sigh of relief. Knowing that she wouldn't be out for long, he stood up and carried her to the med bay. Laying her out on the table, he administered a much stronger sedative. The Sith then reached out to her mind.

It was still in chaos. But, after many hours, he was successfully able to close every door he opened. Her mind was as it was before he tampered with it. Her breathing slowed and the growls were replaced by light snoring . Knowing that she would still be asleep for hours, he decided to rest as well. But not before adding one final security measure in place. He locked the med bay door. And seeing as she is incoherent in her primal state, Triss would have to state her name and intent in order to leave.
He dragged his feet all the way to his quarters. Completely exhausted he collapsed into bed, his mind drifted away.

Triss remained focus on her task of piloting Kage and seeing the mission underway, checking and re checking system updates, destination history, supplies, and any other little thing that may become a problem later on if not cared for imidently. But once the relief of hyperspace folded around the hull of Kage-maru, shooting through like a shadow dart, Triss leaned back into her chair with a soft sigh that ended In a small contented moan. The first leap into space was always a refreshing moment for her, there always seemed to be a jolt of anticipated excitement, the first leap into a new adventure, the first lap into a long, painful yet exciting journey.

Tails had lodged himself in her chamber's, most likely avoiding Mainyu, not because the sith lord would treat him in any ill manner, but because he didn't like being rejected in the way that Mainyu did. Being a telepathic as Tail's was, the mind was his means of communication, without it, or blocked from it as Mainyu had done, it was surely as slamming a door on him. Triss couldn't blame the little creature honestly, and so silently accepted that for this journey, this was going to be common

Pushing herself up out of her large chair Triss left the captains hold and into the common room where she found her Master sitting upon the floor In Meditation, leaning her shoulder against the door frame and folding her arms, Triss patiently waited for him to recognize her entry before she gave her report, fully expecting to get a chance to get some shut eye before the main event. Guess though it was no surprise when her Master calmly commanded her to sit and join him in Meditation.

Generally, Triss didn't mind meditation with her Master, It was a time to 'bond' a learn from his teachings. But somehow, as she curled her legs under her, she felt herself shift somewhat uncomfortably, as if sensing a distant danger, her skin bristled with irritation, warning her that something was not right. But her Master had never done her wrong before, and had promised countless times that he would never damage her in away she would not recover from, she trusted that, even now she was sure he had the best intentions in mind for his trusted and loyal student.

Triss sat straight and breathed, closing her eyes and submitting to his instructions, doing as he told her to do, reaching out with her thoughts and opening up parts of herself to him.

Everyone had a secret, a monster caged deep within. Some had a tight chain around their beast, able to train it to their will with ease, some had miss tended their chains and aloud them to rust and snap. However for some, the beast within was un-tamed, wild, and free. And like any beast of the wild, if prodded the wrong way or cornered, it would lash out with it's sharp claws and bare it deadly fangs.

Triss feared her beast, she feared and hated with every fiber of her being. It was a vile thing that she wished she could simply cut out from her, but inevitably was forced to accept that, no mater how much she despised it, she was stuck with it. And no matter how stuck she was, her Master was continuously seeking out away to drag it to the surface. So far, Triss had managed to lead her Master away from her beast, but this day, as she sat uncomfortably in his prescience, she found herself completely un-prepared for what her Master had truly intended, and found it to be to late to react as the red vale draped over her eyes.

When Triss finally come to a conscious state, she raised a hand to her eyes, shielding the light over head. Her temples throbbed with a dull ach, and her muscles felt as if she had been through harsh physical training. Groaning Triss rolled off of the med table and sat on the ground, knees pulled up to her chest as she propped her elbows on them, her fingers massaging away the beginnings of a headache. Why was she here in the med bay she wondered, her keen emerald eyes glancing around the room as if she were in a strange place. Clearing her throat she croaked out “Kage, what is the estimated time to our destination?” The soft mechanical voice of her ship's computers responded in it's usual manner

“Estimated arrival is in three hours, thirty three minuets”

Triss's eyes widened at this, had she really been out of it for three days? The only other time she had lost three day's was when she received a concussion back on Korriban a standard year ago. Triss raised a hand up to the edge of the bed, using it as support as she pulled herself up onto her feet and unsteadily walked towards the main work station, laying upon the counter was an empty syringe of one of her more potent sedatives from the centers supplies. Her finger trailed it's length in contemplation before she turned on some water and proceeded to wash her face and hands. Eyes lifting to glance into the mirror in front of her. On the side of her neck was a faint black and blue bruise, no larger then the tip of her thumb, again her eyes fell to the syringe.

“By the force...” she whispered “what happened?”

Deciding to get some answers, Triss dried herself off with one of the hanging rags, and made her way to the exit, nearly running into the clear sliding bay doors as they refused to open upon her approach. Triss stared at the glass like doors for several long moments, before speaking up

“Kage, open the doors”

Again Kage responded

“Negative, access code is denied.”

Triss tilted her head and starred at the doors in disbelief, she was locked in her own ship!! 'What the frell is going on?!' she growled irritably to herself. But no matter how many times she tried to get Kage to follow her orders, he denied her request. Eventually she resigned herself to sinking down onto the couch returning to her raised knees, arms propped, and fingers laced around her head position as she attempted to search her memory for answers. When it finally dawned on her! Lowering her feet to the side of the couch Triss looked up to the large screen on the other side of the table.

"Kage, Display video feed time index approximately one hour after take off."

Kage confirmed her request, and the screen flickered to life.

Triss spent the next hour starring numbly at the screen as the horrifying events unfolded before her eyes

“Freedom seven, ready” Aelnia whispered into her comlink nervously, checking her rifle’s powerpack was properly attached for the third time. Her father had always said if she ever had to pick up a weapon, make sure it was working before you needed it. She shut her eyes momentarily at the thought of her father and forced herself to not breakdown.

“Okay, everyone, move in! Be ready Domare!”

The voice of her squad’s commander blared out of her comlink loud enough to make her jump. No one was around to hear it though. She was all alone on a roof and perfectly safe. Still, the commander should have been quieter. Even if commander was quite the title for a former farmer, he had to learn. Oh yes, aren’t you full of wisdom today? Killing someone who doesn’t stand a chance give your ego a boost?

“Shut up…” She muttered to herself angrily as she brought up her blaster rifle’s scope on the doorway across the street and three floors down. I’m not lying to myself, I’m a scientist, I shouldn’t be here but here I am. I’m doing what has to be done. Resting her rifle against the low wall surrounding the roof, she adjusted the sights on the scope for the last time and waited. Thirty two Good Kings Road. An unlikely place for a group of Sith Troopers to be hiding out but that’s what she’d been told.

The concussion grenades went off first, smashing through the windows at the back of the house and stunning the four troopers inside. That was the plan at least, she was the backup. The sound of blaster fire reached her ears shortly after, letting her know at least one of the troopers was still conscious. She bit her lip, desperate to pick up her comlink and find out what was happening but knowing that could mean a Trooper escaping out the front.

At first I was happy with this assignment, little chance of getting killed and a good escape route. Now I know what it’s like to listen to the sounds of what could be my entire squad getting slaughtered…

“Domare, one coming your way!”

The door across the street burst open and a Trooper hurled himself down the steps, hitting the pavement at a dead run, not bothering to look back for pursuit. PEW! PEW! Her first shot went wide, her second blew a hole in the back of the Troopers knee. He crumpled forward, she almost vomited. PEW! Her third shot went between the Troopers shoulder blades and the man lay still. She vomited. I shot a defenseless man in the back.

“Oh father…” She breathed heavily, scrambling to get up and only by instinct slinging the rifle back over her back. No! Father would understand, I did what I had to. Pull yourself together! Running across the roof, she made her way downstairs and headed out the backdoor. He would have shot you if he had the chance! But he didn’t. Lifting up the sewer grate, she dropped her pack of supplies before following them down the ladder, pulling the grate back into place as she went.

With images of the man’s death assaulting her mind as she goes, she makes her way through the sewers, roughly heading three blocks south and one east. Calm down, think of this logically, like you normally would! Nothing about this is normal. Holding her small pack awkwardly under one arm, she climbs the ladder leading back to daylight. Rain greets her and she smiles faintly before remembering she’s supposed to feel terrible. Murderer! No!

Hanging her head, she enters the partially boarded up house close by to the sewer grate. Only looking up once the door is shut behind her and her pack of supplies dumped on the counter. Four people stood up to greet her, tight lipped smiles on their faces. “Mella & Jared?”

“They didn’t make it, they’re heroes.”

Aelnia nodded after a moment, her face emotionless and even paler than usual. Heroes, like my father.

“You got your man.”

I got him? I killed him you mean? She nodded again and handed her blaster rifle to the commander. “I need to sleep, wake me if I’m needed.”

The commander nodded and placed a hand on her shoulder for a moment. “You did good… Aelnia.”

Then why do I want to curl up in my mother’s arms?

Pain, Darth Mainyu would often remind his apprentice, is always a potential side effect of any experiment. As a good scientist, he always learned to deal with the outcome of his experiments. Even though this was a training exercise , this is no exception. A normal person would be at traumatized by the experience. But Mainyu is far from normal. As he sat up from his long sleep, he replayed the incident in his mind. Adding this in a long list of experiments gone wrong and storing it in the back of his mind. Bringing his hand up to his forehead, he groaned as he stood up. He straightened his robes and walked toward the main hold.

On his way, he passed a locked room that, for the moment at least, held his apprentice. Whether she is in full control of her faculties, remained to be seen. He walked over to the panel and pushed a button. The display screen showed that Triss leaning forward, elbows on her knees and hands clasped between them, transfixed onto a viewscreen. " Computer," Mainyu ordered, " Display the brainwave patterns of the occupant of this room."

After a few moments, the video feed was replaced with streams of data. After studying them, Mainyu could see that her brainwaves were within normal parameters, but her heart rate was slower than normal. Nevertheless, He reached out through the Force and quietly scanned her mind. She was no longer the wild animal that attacked him. In fact, she was calm, too calm. It was almost as if she was in a state of shock.

"Computer," The Sith commanded , "Unlock and open this door."

A few beeps and the doors slid open. She didn't seem to notice him at all, it caused the Sith to adopt a more defensive posture. Mainyu's hands rest gently near his blade, ready to ignite it in an instant, " What is your name ?" Mainyu inquired

She took in a slow, deep breath as she lowers her head between her knees and claws her fingers through her hair, clenching her eyes close for a few moments before gritting out "T..Trisskar Vander, Sith Apprentice t...To Lord Mainyu...."

Concerned that her mind may be damaged from the experience He asked, "And who am I ?"
Triss peered out from her arm to gaze in his direction before forcing herself to take another deep breath before standing and bowing slightly at the waist "Master I..." Triss closes her eyes closed again.

Mainyu relaxed his stance and posture, " Good enough for me."

The Sith Lord turned around and began his short walk to the cockpit. Following close behind him, Triss followed; walking slowly like a child who knows that she has done something wrong. Walking past the main hold, Mainyu merely glances at the carnage of the encounter, passing by it like nothing. Triss was startled by the amount of carnage that she unleashed, " I will have to get some droids to clean up the mess.."

"I...Ill do it" She responded timidly. getting on her knees. Mainyu didn't try to stop her. It is her ship after all. He stopped and said, " Very well."

She started to gather the twisted wreckage left behind. Mainyu stood there for a moment watching her clean the floor, then spoke up.

"I Imagine that you must be angry at me. Understandably so," Mainyu explained with a hint of regret in his voice, "I hope one day you will understand I did what I did to better understand your abilities so that I may teach you better," He sighed, and continued," In that respect, I succeeded."

She stayed silent, merely going about her work. Mainyu turned around, "When you are ready, join me in the cockpit."

The Sith walked over to the panel and checked their heading. They were almost there, soon they would drop out of hyperspace. He went over the ship's equipment one more time. Eventually, he felt the familiar presence come from behind him. He sighed as he prepared for what awaits him.
"I take it the odds are against us and the situation is grim....Sounds like fun!"
