Swtor should have released with all of wow's features from day one to be honest. All of them even some sort of real id using origin peraphs.

I doubt I'll be using a random one, as instances in this game require a bit more brain power generally than in WoW.

Yeah I missed it when I scanned the content of the Podcast 1st time round.

To be honest I don't mind, Flashpoints are pretty much all portals located on the fleet anyway, there is no reason why you just can't click the flash point courier on which ever planet you are on and be taken via ship straight into the flashpoint.

I just want to avoid that all flashpoints simply become pull down menus in the UI.

Oh boy. after doing quite a few hardmode flashpoints I have to say that's just not true the only difference at this point is getting the groups together is far harder.

To be honest I miss the old style open raid zones. Everything is far too instanced.

I respectfully disagree with you. I don't like how easy the flashpoints are. You can actually try to wipe your group by aggroing an extra group of mobs and you still can't die.

That looks vague to you does it?

listen to it: 26:20 if you only want to listen to that part.

He has no real information, and no way implies cross server is the only way to go.

People are just plain skipping leveling instances in favour of warzones cause of the hassles involved. Bioware just probably got the data that many of us have been waiting on and this is the best solution possible. Lets hope there are some options to keep it intra-server without punishing low population servers or people who play at odd times
Our lack of a proper LFD tool will black out the sun!
Then we shall cancel our subs in the shade!

He also doesn't say it isn't.

Same server lfg will not be enough for most low pop servers and it certainly wont be enough for the pub side of those servers.

To be honest, I loved the LFG queue in WoW when it was first introduced. Now, I realize how much of the MMO aspect it takes away. I know I'll be shot down for saying this, but I miss the FFXI days of having your server be your "home". You actually knew people, and even if you stood around in Jeuno or did some solo grinding with your LFG flag up, you could still find friends to group up with. You could easily be a casual player (At the timeframe I was playing, I hit the old level cap of 75 being a full time student and holding a part time job, with time for a life outside of Vana'Diel) and gain some sort of daily progression.

My point being, I believe BioWare needs to come up with their own system, something new that meets the medium of having that close-knit (or rivalistic) server feel, while still giving the opportunity for quicker group/flashpoint assemblies.

EDIT: Dare I say it? I know the game is new, but if so many servers are having population issues, maybe the game launched with too many. Merge them, at least until the game grows in playerbase.
