Hey guys, I've been playing for a few months now and one thing that's really got me bummed is the fact that there is no Pazaak!

 

It was something so heavily mentioned in the KotOR series that I would have thought for sure you could challenge players to matches for credits, etc. Will it be something they do in the future, or?

It definitely should be implemented! Such a great way to bring people to cantinas to challenge each others at pazzak's tables. I would even add a cool, big "LED screens" at Catina's walls to display current matches between players

I loved this minigame in KOTOR as well. It really screams "add me to SWTOR".

 

It'd likely be the only PvP I'd participate in, lol.

Of course this game needs a greater quantity of content and mini games ... and they need to find out how to populate the planets because everybody is hanging around in the republic fleet atm

awww man, that's disappointing if true....

 

In a game chock FULL of murder and mayhem, slaughter, genocide, torture, even sex, BioWare draws the line at Gambling? Really? Gambling is too much?

All right, I believe laws can be weird, BW knows better. What I don't believe is that there is no workaround. Gambling for Imperial cookies as mentioned above, or for free (yeah I know it's bad for game design). Cookies count as money? All right, it can be quests. A special quest chain for those who won 10 pazaak games?

 

But if the problem is in the very nature of that game (cards)... what can I say, then it's very sad. I spent hours playing pazaak in Kotor, especially when the Galaxy was in imminent danger...

Isn't it considered gambling every time we send our companions on crew missions? It costs money and they don't always succeed or succeed to the extent we want them to.

I'd love pazaak to be added at some point. Maybe even tie social points to it, where everytime you play a game with someone else, you get social points.

 

Seems to me its pretty hard to get social levels really high in the game unless you do group convos for just about every quest there is, including solo quests. Or farm some instance at lv50. Would be nice to add more avenues to earn social points. And even if you don't, pazaak is a fun minigame.

It doesn't need to be in as a gambling thing. Why not just let us engage in games and earn commendations? You don't have to bet anything.

Agree that Pazaak (and other mini-games) are needed.

 

If "gambling" is a problem. Just add a hi-score ladder for players to see how they rank in the galaxy as a pazaak-player against all other players and some "famous" NPC:s.

No money won, but still som fun and "status" to play pazaak.

SO murdering, torturing and slaughtering living beings is OK, sending companions to paid missions that may yield some reward and may not yield anything at all giving you loss is OK, but pazaak is BAD!!!

What a hipocryte from Bioware could say such thing? Some socialist i bet.

I don't recall anything along those lines, but if that were true, that is extremely dumb. I mean dumb. How awesome would it be to have a collection of minigames inside of the cantinas! And as an above poster mentioned, perhaps a display somewhere within the cantina of current minigame matches or ongoing tournaments. Hell you could even play against the computer I suppose as well for a good number of credits.

If the gambling thing is true that is EXTREMELY dissapointing. Literally when I started playing the game it was absolutely shocking to me that Pazaak wasn't in the game. Like I said it was mentioned so much throughout the KotOR series that I would have thought it was a given.

 

Let's hope this is an untrue rumor, as well as player housing/customizable ships it's one thing that I would really like seeing.

Actually...I'd think this would be better served being on Nar Shadaa in the Casino. This way you could turn Nar Shadaa into kinda the "Neutral Fleet"...make it possible for Empire and Republic to challenge each other to games and such.

Improved interaction = your Friend.

 

I also like the idea of other Mini-games, would be cool to have the "Arena" be on Nar Shadaa as well, maybe some "Dice" games...whatever.

Somebody told me that pazaak is something that is not wanted by the community!
