However, it seems like this minor UI fix is mostly an issue of inconvenience. I've personally never been bothered by the old global cooldown system. This issue was never been one of the many things I've heard people complain about.

If Bioware is concerned about players being inconvenienced, they should focus on improving more large-scale things like movement speed and the time it takes to get from planet to planet or between the republic fleet and a planet.

Or the fact that the Pass to Republic Fleet has an 18 hour cooldown! That's just cruel....
If you have a problem with the length of time it takes to use your Emergency Fleet Pass, attach an authenticator to your account and use the ones you purchase for 1k credits.

@Deewe and Isathrea...

Read much?

If you had bothered looking at the options, you would have noticed that it will be possible to turn off the flash following GCD.

...Yeah that new 'ready' flash makes it somehow harder to hit a cooled down ability on time, esp. in split-second pvp battles. After getting used to it it became easier, but much appreciated if we can get those choices. The timer I would say is a cool feature, but me personally I would not employ it if I already have the std cooldown line.

Thank you for making this change! I can't wait for it to launch. I find the new UI extremely distracting and definitely appreciate the option to choose.

Thanks for listening, Bioware!

Must have some serious ADD if people can't remember which of their abilities are on cool down.

Looks like Bioware's pulling its act together! The new UI changes after everyone was complaining shows that Bioware is listening to us and learning from its mistakes! Good Going BW!

A thread that had over 50 pages of people moaning about the new GCD looks means people DO care.

The UI customisation is coming if people actually bothered to read the Dev blogs.
