Spoilers ahead, folks.

Now, most people who've done this have gotten to the end boss, General Ortol.

A common and very, very painful bug (aside from various other crash-worthy experiences, like the speeders causing crashes) is that Ortol will go ballistic and keep test-firing the missiles in the room until all four are lit at once, baking the entire group to a crisp and causing pretty much auto-loss, although you MAY be able to survive it in the center of the room. It won't be easy.

The solution is a fortunate one if you're doing this with 3 people or less. The General will fight outside his room, if you give him a chance to. Send a companion in- for example, I used Aric as a Trooper, but anyone will really do. Everyone else, get the heck out.

The General will either eventually slap your companion clean through the door and follow him, or KO that companion and come out after the party. If you're a four-man party, you're going to end up sacrificing someone to do this instead- not so good, but otherwise too much damage will eventually trigger Ortol's pyromania and torch the entire room.

Enjoy the resulting tank and spank and finally clearing the Flashpoint.

inb4 deletion.

however, it's sad that you have to resort to bug out a boss to actually have a shot at defeating him. gg bioware.

feels like 2004 again...
