Why go Republic? Something MUST be done

What they need to do is have team leads for each class. Those people, where ever they are, need to play that class on a public server and make regular reports about that class.

Also those people, who ever they are, need to take part in the forums for their class, the way it is now they do not even take part in their own forum community, which is something I have never seen from Bioware in any game they have developed in the past.

The Dev's from Bioware always post in the forums, with the MMO....just not sure if they are scared or the boss told them not to, but it has to change or the game will just get worse and fail completely eventually.

No it wasnt.... I was 27 years old when WoW released and played Alliance... So did many of my friends with my age.

Tho, a kid with 14 that lives next door plays horde.

Whatever... its same for each side. Both got kids, both got mature people, both got mature people that are complete kids, etcs.

The only kids I see around are the ones that keep having this ridiculous argument about alliance was for kids. Never saw such a childish and kiddo argument.

I have throughly enjoyed the Trooper story so far. The armor and equipment all seems to be cool looking and within idiom for the world.

Maybe it's just the Jedi stories/clothing that people don't like?

On the Empire side, I have found the stories for the non Sith are better than those for the force-using classes. Maybe the writers put more effort into these stories to compensate for not having a light saber and super powers?

Kaas City server has NEVER seen over 200 people on Reb fleet. I have been on when there is 200 Imps on Imp fleet and 47 on Reb fleet.


The imbalance is glaring and the only way to fix it is to have the Imps re roll Reb toon's to balance stuff out.

i had a chance to reroll empire when i decided to play another toon. instead i made a Jedi guardian (my previous was a sentinel) and played through the exact same story again and got it to 50.

#1 Male IA voice is one of the best in the game! Don't know what poster above me was talking about.

However, I gotta say, I love the Republic as is. I don't PvP, so I can't speak to that, but I haven't had too much of a problem finding groups. Haven't done any ops yet, but my guild is going to start soon, and I'll sure get down on them. Love the way my Guardian looks (robes over trooper armor a la Obi-Wan in the Tartakovsky CW cartoon.) Absolutely loved the JK story. (To the poster above me enjoying the SI story - it's good in chapter one, but when you start chapter two, you'll wish you had played any other class.) When I roll an alt, I'm gonna make a scoundrel. Shadow after that. Heck, I'll probably play commando after that just to round out the republic. I will eventually play Imp, but I'm in no hurry.

Finished my storyline and hit level 50 on my sniper and I fully enjoyed the storyline. Started playing all of the classes and I rate them as so, including the republic side:

1) Agent and Smuggler are tied, I love both the storylines, but I give a slight advantage to the smuggler because I love his ship more than the Agent's.

2) Jedi Knight and Trooper, both have a good storyline, but I like the trooper a slight bit more.

3)Sith Warrior: the storyline is interesting if you go light side.

last place goes to Sorc, Bounty Hunter, and Consular: not a fan of the mage type class, i dont play BH cuz I don't wanna deal with Hutta again, and the consular....i don't wanna be a hipster and play consular like 70% of republic plays.

So yeah, republic is fun to play as for a "I'm gonna try this since I hit 50 for the empire." However, kind of annoyed me with the OP saying that "republic should get faster WZ queue times." I'm sorry, that statement just made you a baddie.

Only way you wanna roll a republic is when you wanna rp a beggar...

It is all a matter of opinion when it comes to the stories....

I like the republic stories better then the empire. To me the empire is all about sacrificing others to advance yourself (minus the IA story) ...

The Republic side is about choices... can you live with the ramifications of choosing society over individuals ( minus the Smuggler)

The IA is a curve on empire.... as is the smuggler on Republic...


As for skill imbalance between mirrors... that will get fixed.

The armor design part.... I think Republic has better armor quality then empire ..... BH's look like clowns.... SW look like robots... IA look like Matrix wannabes.. SI do loook nice though...

Jedi get trooper armor with a robe on... Smugglers are aweseome with dusters or bomber jackets... Troopers are awesome as crap.... Sages look average, but I understand the look.
