Why go Republic? Something MUST be done

I tried some republic alts but the story lines bore me to tears, but I just love my Sorceress. Xanthe Elbrick has the best voice in the game.

To the people mocking telekinetic throw: the actual effect of lots of small, fast, hard particles is *not* a pretty picture. Force lightning looks cool, but not even the emperor could take out Luke Skywalker with it

My real life view has nothing got to with my game perspectives. People who cannot relate roleplaying with anything probably try to seek reason in real life/historic references. It's also less about being plain evil much more about antagonizing themes. I can play both type of characters in a game but it in this game playing the supposedly evil side is for now more attractive to me. I am playing a Sentinel and a Trooper, but I am not particularly happy with them, the Sentinel because of the many sleep-inducing dialogues and the Trooper because of its rather clunky gameplay. I'll gladly continue playing the Trooper if they fixed the class.

So you don't like play the JC because it's typical "Goodie to Shoes" and you don't play a dark side JC because it doesn't feel right to go dark side...

If you bash the faction that needs help, It makes people not want to go to that side. It's that simple.

The sad part is I actually like the Republic side. I thought the smuggler quest chain was awesome and funny. I have a level 50 Sage and although the story is a bit slow it does pickup later on and because lots of fun.

It is true though that a lot of emphasis is put on the Sith Empire. I guess that's why so many people play Empire.

A lot of folks on my server have thrown up their hands and re-rolled Empire. We all know that will fix the Republic population issues.... right?

Smuggler is the only class with a story/companions I enjoy... so all my alts are imperials contributing to the problem. I can't help it... story/companions are just too important to me in this game.

You can't force someone to play Republic or Empire. I've said it before in a previous thread about this same topic. People have different views on what is bland or not. You don't like the Jedi Story that's you. I got no problem with it. I feel like I'm playing a Jedi so they did it right. I mix my choices up some even though I'm mostly light side sometimes I take the dark side hit because it's what my char would do not because I'm trying to max out my light side points.

Right now my Jedi Shadow is looking more bad ***** than my Sith Sorcerer. She (because if the class wears a dress the character is gonna be a chick) is rocking the social gear from Coruscant the White with gold trimming. Ever seen the sith version? 1. It's for guys and 2. it's FUGLY! I mean really Really REALLY fugly. Where's my Black with purple trimming dress or suit? I'm still looking for a pair black custom pants my Sorcerer can mod out.

I abandoned a server with 4 characters one was level 17 just to play with some friends. So if someone's friend is playing Empire they're going to play that too. You gonna tell them not to? What is BioWare going to do to stop this? There's nothing that can be done.

The thing is people will eventually play Republic Characters. Might take some time but there are a lot of altoholics out there that intend to play all the classes just to see the stories and they might just get hooked to the Republic side. Who knows. Only time will tell.
