Ahh well.
I could call you names, but I find restraint. Instead I call you arrogant. /block ftw.

Seeing lots of incorrect info here.

90C is not critical temperature for GPU by any means. At 110C your graphic card will shut itself down physically to prevent any damage however not even that temperature will really damage the card, it's just a safety measure(and a good one, in that).

In this scenario however, you would be most likely to experience completely black screen while PC keeps running(again, this depends on the system).

I run a I72600@4.4 perfectly stable.
You aren't a gangly kid and neither am I.
I run a 3 widescreen setup with 2 evga 560 ti superclocks they will both overheat if you don't run a custom fan stepping with EVGA precision. Just bump everything up 10% starting at 60 degrees. 60 Degrees = 70% fan.
It sounds like you have some crappy engineering of airflow in your case to me. Bigger isn't better you could have some dead spots or fans tugging against each other. The simple solution is probably correct. You have to imagine the flow and pressure in there you just can't jam a bunch of heat producing components together.
4.5 Ghz is to fast on most of these I7s do the research. Overclock.net, Don't believe all the crap you read about people doing 4.5-4.9 on these chips it's a load.
There are a lot of variables to overclocking and stability it's not the game.
When you mess with stock you have to back it up with sense.

4.5, even 5 ghz is achievable on high end i7's, but you need some serious cooling to achieve it and maintain it without error.

Those who say theyre doing it on stock are either flat out lying or havent performed any OC tests on the system at all.

Ignorance is the only thing causing damage to systems from playing games.

But, no one who does it will admit as much, so might as well move on.

Swtor killed my GPU fan. I did not OC.

Character creation and choosing screens shoot up the GPU heat instantly.
