I must not be a logical player. There's absolutely know way I'd devote three months of my life to a source of entertainment I hate. I might quit and come back later, but that's the most I'd do. I honestly can't conceive of someone doing something they hate for three months, just on the hope it'll get better. Not for entertainment. For other things, sure, but not entertainment.

If I had to guess, I'd say there are aspects of the game they actually enjoy, but don't talk about. People generally don't do things if it doesn't work for them in some way. There's a payoff (even if it's posting on the forums).
"I know."

Perhaps that is the case in Bizarro World, but in the real world more subs equals the game is growing no matter where they come from.

Are you Imp? My concern is the balance. I don't doubt my server is full. But at peak hours the Rep Fleet on Valkar Highway will have about 70 people on and normally averages 30 people off peak. Now it wouldn't surprise me if there are 200 folks sitting over on the Imp Fleet and then you account for all the folks out on other planets and active accounts that are offline and the server is full.

However, if the server is full but 20-30% is Rep and 70-80% is Imp then we have a serious issue that is going to negatively affect open world PvP, the AH system, availability of crafted goods, and the economy on the Rep side.

GW2 open beta is just around the corner followed by its launch, Tera goes live May 3rd, The Secret World goes live June 19th etc. They are all highly anticipated MMOs that will make TOR bleed subs. Not to mention other decent titles in the horizon like C9, Blade & Soul, Dragon Nest Online, Neverwinter and so on.

More importantly, TOR is not the MMO peeps return to, that game is titled Pandaland.
I don't judge a game by how old or new it is, I judge it by what it is when it is presented to me.

that is all relative. if the server has 20k imperials and 5k republic, the sharding prevents (much) of world pvp abuse (since there are much more rep players per shard, but same/slightly more players of emp in the same shard) the AH economy would be fine and so would be crafted goods. now even if the server was 50:50, but the populations were 1k 1k, the server would have much worse AH and crafting situations.

The problems you see now have to do with the fact, that there are only a couple hundred people on rep side, not with the ration between imp and rep.

Merge the servers. If the servers cant handle couple thousand players with all the sharding and instancing this game has, then SWTOR failed

Now it's quite evident that EA's insatiable money mongering comes right back and bites them in their heels.

For too long they didn't care about post sale qualityensurance, but on sales itself contrary Blizz who cared so much that they created Battle.net to take care of the service themselves. They have had an overzealous patch policy to ensure every last bit of quality to their products, thereby getting experience to their developers to ensure the right choises, contrary BW who never really was good on deeper gameplay mechanics, but only telling a good story.

Had EA prepared themselves better, ToR would have kicked butt for years!

My guild bought this game knowing it was pretty much a copy/paste of WoW (from a PvP perspective) in the hopes that it would tide us over until GW2 came out. So far it's doing so by virtue of the 10-49 WZ bracket, so we didn't waste my money. I'll probably just lapse out if 1.2 sucks though, 2 capped toons is enough and flawed PvP gear progression is too aggravating to deal with given the amount of PvP content available and extremely poor quality of world pvp.

I've never seen my server say anything but Standard, and I was playing my main Imperial Character when there where that many in the Fleet that night. I also have some Republican characters.

How is it flawed? I'm asking because I don't know. (Sad with so many trolls that I have to make that clear, lol.)
