Actually I think a lot of people would be ok with something like that. They wouldn't have to mindlessly run through empty spaceports and orbital stations and click elevators to get to and from.

I have no problem with the time it takes. It is not the 10 Minutes it takes - itīs the 10 loading screens that i have to look at!!!

it is like storming the very heart of the gameīs immersive potential and kill everyone alive.

edit: Is that my light sabre? oh no it is just another loading bar

I don't have the bad load times some people seem to be having, The elevator is a quick flash. ship takes 10 seconds.

I also use the fleet pass on a 1 hr cooldown to get rid of a lot of the running around. I wouldn't be opposed to less travel but it really isn't an issue for me right now.

The thing about SWG is that you didn't really have to go to other planets. So your friends would tend to stay clustered on the same planet.

Because TOR requires you to move between different planets for levelling purposes, playing with lower or higher level friends is quite awkward.

it is not how long it takes to leave a loading screen, it is the fact that they exist. they already have animations of ships starting. why not extend that a bit and load in the meantime?

I played Taral V yesterday and the loading takes place when entering the flashpoint - before the shuttle leaves the fleet. when you enter the shuttle it takes off and wihtout any loading you land on Taral V.

why cant they extend that to all the other transitions in the game?

then it would make sense to have all the space stations so excessively large. u can use the walks for loading times.

They could at least allow speeders in them, and hopefully do something about the crappy load times this game has, though.
Orbital stations are public instances.

Maybe those complaining about travel time should go back to the gryphon master.

Yup, at least you can get a cup of tea whilst waiting for a ship, all you can do a present is stare at loading screens in between running.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

What your complaining about only takes what 30-60 seconds max? It's a little bit of immersion.... live with it

WoW people are getting lazy... Dont think a lot of people will be happy unless Bioware gives them teleport ability that sends them to any spot on any planet instantly..

I don't understand why people argue that running from door to door in various space stations or on various docking stations add realism or a sense of galaxy depth.
To me it just adds annoyance.
There have been many suggestions on how to fix this that are far better then what is in place now and I hope the developers take note and do indeed change how this is done.
