A few balance issues? Heh, and a couple of bugs. Open your eyes and look, there's major imbalance. You should start PVP-ing before making comments on it.

The point is, this is not a solution. The game needs a better gearing system, not this **** they have currently. I mean I was expecting them to fix the lolbags but they nerf the gear instead? Right.

I am against huge gear differences. But what's the point of PVP gear if you are gonna make it "slightly" better than the **** you level up to 50 with? It's either because they are trying to get rid of the PVP community, seeing how they can't handle balancing a PVP game, or they are simply stupid, wich I'm more willing to believe.
Choices need to matter! If I die I need to live with it. Hardcore!

NO CRAP ! You didn't spend anytime toward it why would you expect to be able to compete against people who spent a majority of there daily time online even before 50 pvping?!

Time and time again I see people with valor ranks less than 20 WHINING and crying in the warzones about getting beat by people who were better geared.

NEWS FLASH - ....DUH

What about the countless number of people who are geared in pvp and barely have any Columi/Rakata gear!? I only have 2 pieces of PVE Gear - So someone who's pvp'd twice or maybe 3 times with no pvp gear

BUT - A full set of columi gear can hold there own agiasnt a person who's valor 65 and worked extremely hard just to get geared out in battlemaster gear.

Thats ridiculous I agree that people should be on a level playing field in PVP but they should HAVE TO WORK FOR IT JUST LIKE WE DID.

Handing them a free ride doesn't fix the fact that they didn't put in the time and I know this is long winded but GIVE ME A BREAK this is BS
QQ

*sniffle*

Sound's like someone is sad cause now they can't hind behind gear.

Protip: get good. then you wont have to QQ.

I like how everyone automatically assumes that people against nerfing pvp gear are wanting it to stay strong simply because they want to continue to crush noobs.

I personally have no desire to ever set foot in a raid, or do much pve at all, this means that I will never get columni/rakata gear. A common trend that I am noticing is that top PVE gear(raid gear) is actually quite amazing for pvp. Due to the soft cap on expertise, mixing in raid gear with your pvp gear yields better results. So what happens if they decide to cut expertise usefulness in half (Exaggeration? Keep in mind this is BW). Suddenly raid gear will trump battlemaster gear soundly.

Please understand that not everyone wants top end pvp gear to be awesome because they like stomping noobs, but because without it, they would be forced to raid to stay competitive in PVP.

I like the guy that said:

PvP Gear: good in PvE, best in PvP
PvE Gear: best in PvE, good in PvP

I'm rank 54. I have no problem with getting fresh 50's faster access to PvP gear.

Make Centurion gear purchasable with WZ+Merc commendations maybe? That way they have a choice: gamble with a champ bag or take the sure centurion piece. And let them start buying that gear before 50. That way they can store up the pieces and have a whole set waiting for them at 50 if they choose. Who would be upset about that? They ground it out, just at a lower level than the original people is all.

I do not want PvE gear to be the best gear for PvP. I want PvP gear to be the best gear for PvP. Unless they make the 2 sets identical in stats, in which case I wouldn't care.

I do NOT like "nerf PvP gear" talk. This is stupid. The best PvP gear and the best PvE gear should have similar stat values, but should emphasize the stats needed for each particular task. It is silly for PvPers to have to grind out a set of PvE gear to use in PvP, and vise-versa.

And lastly, the best PvP gear should be available to any who put the time in to get it. True PvPers want to know that when they win, it is because they played better, not because they out-geared the competition. However, people shouldn't automatically be handed the best gear. Hence, the grind for it. I won't say it's "hard work" (LOL you're playing a game, work has nothing to do with PvE OR PvP so relax on all your "hard work" talk nubs, go out and pitch sh*t for 10 hours and then talk to me about hard work) but there is a time investment that should be paid for getting the best gear. This is an MMO, and MMOs are all about time investment. Ranked BGs should be about players with the best gear facing off against each other to see who is the best, and NOT a competition for better gear.

tldr; give the new 50's faster access to PvP gear.

Serious and skilled pvpers prefer game with no gear advantages, unles small one, cause we have to prove our skills. Skill-based PvP always better than Gear-based one.

Yeah... and the Olympics should hand out gold medals to those who TRY THE HARDEST or TRAIN THE LONGEST, not the athletes that are the fastest or strongest, or the most skilled.

You talk about "handouts" but it's PVP gear that's being handed out to those that have no skill but lots of free TIME.

Also, gear only decides who wins fights when you don't have any. This is how MMOs are designed; it's called progression If you don't like it, then go play a single player game.
... or a multiplayer PVP game where you can't replace lack-of-skills by investing hours and hours into getting better gear to compensate.

Spoon feeding? I'm not the one that made the QQ post, neither are you.

when I make a post claiming something, I ALWAYS post a link supporting my claim.

This would be like writing a research paper with no proof and having your professor do the research for everything you claim in the paper.
