NO CRAP ! You didn't spend anytime toward it why would you expect to be able to compete against people who spent a majority of there daily time online even before 50 pvping?!

Time and time again I see people with valor ranks less than 20 WHINING and crying in the warzones about getting beat by people who were better geared.

NEWS FLASH - ....DUH

What about the countless number of people who are geared in pvp and barely have any Columi/Rakata gear!? I only have 2 pieces of PVE Gear - So someone who's pvp'd twice or maybe 3 times with no pvp gear

BUT - A full set of columi gear can hold there own agiasnt a person who's valor 65 and worked extremely hard just to get geared out in battlemaster gear.

Thats ridiculous I agree that people should be on a level playing field in PVP but they should HAVE TO WORK FOR IT JUST LIKE WE DID.

Handing them a free ride doesn't fix the fact that they didn't put in the time and I know this is long winded but GIVE ME A BREAK this is BS
Got a link?

The thing is, this will not fix anything. Elite PVP-ers will still beat the snot out of scrubs. The only frustrating thing here is that every FOTM-er will have it easier when he hits 50 since PVP is more about class than gear and skill.

But I'm not surprised at all, I think bioware's pvp team is either an experiment where they make monkeys manage PVP, or it's still Mythic calling the shots, which is worse.
oh so you are one of those, not only is the gear holding you back, but now its your class too. This game does have a few balance issues but being as young as it is, it is by far the most balanced mmo period. Every class has a shot at any other in this game, the only thing holding back some classes is the people playing them. The only people who don't like this change are the people who enjoyed being in the 50 backet with the lowbies.

In my opinion Battlemasters should be 17.5% ahead of PvE groupers and 12.5% ahead of raiders in PvP. Battlemasters should be 12.5% behind raiders in Raids. Casual PvE should be 17.5% behind raiders in Raids.
2-3% advantage tops, with added perks such as titles, cooler skins, etc.

All of you are over reacting.

There will be a slight decrease in PVP gear because the gap between a new 50 and a fully armored battlemaster is significant.

So they are just going to slightly lowering it. I don't see it being a significant nerf. You guys are sensationalizing and over reacting because omg pvp nerf lol.

Why does he need to provide a link? It's public knowledge. Go to the Public Test Server forum.

They haven't stated how much of a nerf... people hear nerf then OMG nerf lol

I've got full champ gear except for dual BM sabers. I welcome a PVP gear nerf. This kind of change shouldn't affect you negatively unless you're a terrible and overgeared player at the same time. It either benefits or doesn't affect everyone else, though.

Your view is selfcentered. Think about the player that did not rush to 50 and just started to pvp. What fun is there for him to be a meat target for next month until he gets gear.
Everyone should have fun pvping from day1.

Gear should give you a small advantage not what it is currently. You can easily 2 vs 1 right now. That should not happen.

Ultimately this will incourage more to pvp.

New "elite pvp'rs" do not beat the snot out of scrubs with a 20% overall advantage (+10% dmg and -10% taken. The flip side of your coin. If the "elite pvp'rs" are so good why do they need such an advantage? Why do they even want it? I'm not "elite" but I'm happier knowing people have the same chance wether they won many games for their gear or lost even more for the same gear. No one has been able to explain why regular stats on the pvp gear and a certain look is not enough reward. Why would a "real pvp'r" need such an incentive if they were a good pvp'r and truly enjoyed pvping rather than using it as poor mans way to get some gear?

Then it should have been easy for the OP to provide a link. Which he/she didn't.
